@mrVux: It is almost a guarantee that Red Dead will run better on X. Since all games do. Nobody is going to care about some exclusive marketing deal when the other platform has the version with better visuals and performance.
Hopefully it means these studios will have more resources to make even better games.

@Araragifeels: MS has worked with Playground Games since their inception, same with Undead Labs. They have worked with Ninja Theory since their very first game, more than a decade ago. The only exception is Compulsion Games.
@projectVulkan: why bother with buying any pre-made products if you can build one? Some people just want to game without any hassles. That is fine. Personally I love building PC's and customizing my gaming setup. Some users just want to sit down and play a game.
So just how pathetic was it when Sony bought Naughty Dog?
Since those studio's own the rights and MS owns those studios. MS owns the rights.

@morganfell: running solitaire at 100fps doesn't really count.
Hell, I can't even get 60fps on most AAA games with a Titan X at ultra settings and 4k.
The compelling reason is cost. My gpu alone is over 1000 dollars. Choice is good, last I checked. Do I prefer PC, yeah, of course. Can all people afford pc’s good enough to get 4K visuals, probably not.
Now that consoles are all x86 there is no next gen. There will only be incremental upgrades like we see on PC today.
It is definitely time for a new engine. And it did look impressive. This probably means we are multiple years away from Halo Imfinite but at least now we know why. Take your time and make it great.
We will see what the raids actually are. The end game in Division 1 was terrible.
Xbox Owners will be playing the best racing game this holiday in FH4. The best open World Game in Red Dead 2. The best shooter in BF5. The best RPG in Fallout 76. And they will also be getting the best version of those games on Console on the X. I would feel sad for those people getting the lesser version of Red Dead since that is really all that will matter this holiday.
