It was kind of odd that it was announced at all. Not sure what they gain by announcing it now.
The proper system? lol. That comment sums up all that is wrong with the gaming industry.
I don't know, I bought Metroid Prime and Wind Waker. I don't feel bad about playing games I bought.
Nintendo is actually helping drive VR whether they know it or not. Dophin VR is an emulator that allows you to play games like Wind Waker, Metroid Prime etc in VR through mods and emulation. Metroid Prime is actually one of the more popular experiences in VR right now due to how the camera was setup and how well it mods to VR.
I am thinking that the end goal is to push Windows 10 as a gaming platform. Which is in my opinion the correct move and I am hoping Scorpio is marketed more or less in a similar fashion as Surface. Microsoft vision of Hardware for Windows 10 as a gaming platform.
Cost. If they can make a gaming PC that is reasonably priced and supports all the main gaming peripherals there would be a market for it. Biggest barrier to gaming on a PC is the cost and effort of building a PC. Personally I enjoy that process, but console owners just want a device that requires no fuss and at a good value.
Steam is definitely awesome, but Steam is extremely reliant on Windows as a platform. I think MS's best plan is to use Steam as a selling point for Windows as a gaming platform. BattleNet as well.
Concept of Wildlands looks great, but it looked too easy. You have so many gadgets and ways to cheat. Seemed like an unfair fight in the demo they had.
PC gaming to me has always been the best gaming. It just has so many options. For example, last night I was playing Diablo III, in 3d "thanks to VorpX" using a VR headset and it was ridiculously awesome. Felt like an entirely different experience.
I also bought a game I wasn't too fond of through Steam, and instead of being sad I simply got a refund.
This morning I was playing Witcher 3 in 4k, because I can.
Microsoft bei...
Funny that you list Uncharted and God of War as the upper hand strategy and then complain about Nintendo repeating the same IP. But this is the internet, it isn't supposed to make sense unless it supports your biased view lol.
@StardustLemon: True, I did misread that. Although I could have sworn it said something different when I posted. Regardless, I don't think new IP's matter just great games and experiences.
Seems like a good game to watch on Twitch but maybe not buy.
Not the first time Platinum has ruined a legendary franchise. I thought there was no way a game based on Korra could be bad, but Platinum managed it sadly.
If MS wants users to be happy with Windows Store they have a lot of work to do as far as the UI for gaming in Windows. Steam offers a far superior portal for gaming on PC's. I don't see why MS doesn't just bring the Xbox UI to Windows. Ideally I would want it to integrate with Steam. Allow us to tie our Xbox Live gamertag to Steam and vice versa.
Seems that if Titanfall was best of show it would also be best Action and Shooter.
Very interesting gameplay indeed.
I thought this was coming to PC as well, or is the tag just missing.
I probably would have swapped Dishonored 2 with Battlefield 1. Both games look awesome though.
Are you saying you wouldn't want to play it on superior hardware? If so that seems illogical.
Interesting, would love to see the exact mappings. If any game deserves a custom HOTAS it is ED.
I have been using Unity for a long time, but I have never been able to achieve lighting and shading like that. Very impressed. Can't wait till they release the shaders they used to create it.
