Ok, I give in. I will buy an NX.
As much as I like the combat in Dark Souls as far as strategy, I would like more control over the combat and not rely so much on waiting for animations to finish. This sounds intriguing.
Really want to play this, but I don't really want a Wii U or NX. Do the right thing Nintendo, release this on PC!
Looks and sounds so fun. Hope they will have a beta later this year.
I would wait for Scorpio if money is a concern.
The Ellie deer hunting scene is still in my opinion the greatest moment in gaming history. It was the ultimate coming of age scenario. I actually wish the game would have ended right there. I understand why a developer would try to imitate that feeling. And I think God of War took an angle that was different enough to stand up on its own. Although I would also argue that it didn't have near the impact of Ellie's scene as the character had earned that moment.
Yep, it ran great on Xbox One, but I can't wait to play it on PC with unlocked framerate.
Most VR games that have any locomotion make me sick unless there is a cockpit of some sort. Not sure how they get around that.
Everything is loaded from a hard drive, so no matter what the medium it is super important.
Great interview. He asked the right things. Was disappointed that he wouldn't elaborate on the Hard Drive though. That is such a bottleneck. I want to use an SSD drive as the system drive.
Looks fun so far, but I really hope it has raids etc.
If it runs full Windows 10, which is the rumor. Then yes it will have Steam. Hopefully it will be more than a rumor but I do think it makes a lot of sense.
Steambox tried to sell Linux which is an impossible task. Also Big Screen Steam is very limited as far as a media portal since there are hardly any media content for Steam. Windows 10 is already a successful gaming platform. And Xbox is already a successful multimedia platform. It is a win-win.
Edit: @2pacalypsenow. Regarding Windows 10, it is a great gaming platform because it supports so much content and hardware. Steam, Origin, Battlenet, Rift, Vive, all the HOTOS contr...
That greatly depends on the game and effects/features that are being used. 1070 is more than capable of running games at 4k, just not at ULTRA settings.
Games are written in DirectX and using an X86 based Architecture. Scaling games isn't that big of an issue. Especially if you know which graphics cards and CPU's are in play. You don't make two separate games, you just scale the game you are making to run as well as possible based on the resources available.
From what I can gather, Scorpio will basically be a Microsoft Branded Windows 10 gaming PC. Depending on the Price it could be a great entertainment PC. If they can keep it under 700 dollars, I would even be ok with it having embedded components that are not upgradeable. Keep the HDMI port, make Kinect Optional, keep the IR blaster and make sure it has plenty of USB3 ports and I am in.
Benefits of full Windows 10:
Steam
Vive
Rift
Battlene...
Looks so good! Wish it was coming to PC, but I might get an NX for it.
Bloodborne, Sunset Overdrive and Ori are the the only new IP's this gen so far that have been great. I like Destiny personally also but it is multiplatform. Overwatch is also awesome but also multiplatform. So I guess you could say MS has two good new IP's compared to 1. Not that it matters.
@Shuvam09: I actually loved Resogun, but I am not sure it is the type of game that you would create an IP off of. No real story or characters.
Then stop making consoles and put your games on superior hardware. Let the content free to be as good as it possibly can be.
The beta is disappointing but I still have hope for the final game.
