I have a Samsung TV and it does change Sources when I turn on the Switch but I am not experiences any odd behavior while it is asleep.
"Our own test with a GTX 1080 earned us a stable 60 fps even at 1440p, so it's unclear what the bottleneck is." So basically you are saying the issue is with a few users and not with the game.
@nitus10: Zelda actually has so much in common with the Souls series as far as combat. Bloodborne too. It is like a marriage of Souls and Bloodborne as far as combat with an added physics layer. If you enjoyed Bloodborne, you will love Zelda's combat.
It is definitely in the conversation. Awesome, awesome game.
I mean it doesn't have a lot of voice acting but the voice acting it has is wonderful. As for the combat, hardly basic. I would even go as far as saying it has the most advanced combat system in an RPG I have ever played. Just so many ways you can fight and elements you can use to your advantage.
As far as Open World gaming the world is just so huge and the way you can interact with it is beyond what any game has done before. Climb trees, climb rocks, use wind, create wind, fall trees to get across area, chop wood, use wood to make fires to stay warm, glide across areas, use elements to alter your items such as creating wind to attach a bomb to a balloon. Plus there is just so much in the world that is important, the shrines, the people who give you unique gifts, the food you find, th...
I am not quite done yet, but I do have around 80 hours into it and I feel safe in saying BOTW is the best game ever made as far as single player games anyhow. It raises the bar on Open World gaming. It raises the bar in RPG's. It raises the bar in Action Games.
I disagree about it being the past. As far as open world games go, it raised the bar big time. The gameplay is so unique in its physics based setup. You can basically do anything you can imagine using the weather plus your weapon abilities such as creating wind and mixing it with fire and then using an item you found that combusts with these elements. Etc. It is crazy. You can also approach bosses and enemies in so many ways because of this. The boss fights remind me of Bloodborne except with...
They should offer a discount if you already own the game. With Microsoft doing Play Anywhere with their titles, Nintendo needs to get with the times instead of ripping their customers off every chance they get.
Yep, can't wait to pay full game price for a DLC pack
I mean if you like your games struggling to reach 30fps there is a lot here.
Haha, too much time on his hands! Although spending time in that area is worth wasting time. Vault of Glass is the greatest achievement in coop gaming in gaming history. First time beating that raid was as good as gaming has ever been.
At this point I would say no. As a console it a total failure, can't even run Zelda at a steady 30fps. As a mobile device, it is just too big to use take with you on normal outings and it lacks features to take on flights as a replacement for an Ipad or Laptop.
At this stage it is just a device used to play Zelda. And it does a poor job of it. Zelda is awesome, amazing even, but the Switch is a major disappointment.
My only complaint besides the under powered console is the Save System isn't reliable. Sometimes I will die and when I continue I will be in a zone I hadn't been in in over an hour. Also not a fan of how the Blood Moon spawn works, I have been in the middle of intense battles and the whole game stops to do the Blood Moon and when it comes back to the game I will be dead without being able to finish my dodge.
@Higgins: people are saying that is barely playable, understand?
I mean the Switch can't even get that a lot of the time sadly.
You can play PC mobile. Get the NVIDIA Shield which uses the same processor as Switch but allows you to stream full PC games.
I don't know, it struggles to keep 30 fps. Most games on my pc I usually lock to around 120fps. Switch as far as performance is straight garbage and clearly holding Zelda back. It isn't about the looks, the design is amazing. It is about the performance and the limitations it has on the game.
Yeah, but Emulator's are so inefficient. Would have been better if Nintendo would let their developers free.
Diablo 3 is so good. That is all you need to know about this article. And it is true.
