But that's beside the point.
It is a tired argument to say that you need to buy two separate devices to downplay the fact that Cross-Control/Play with the Vita and PS3 does have much of the Wii U's functionality.... well, in a very similar manner, despite their approach being different. The PS Vita is not just a controller with a touchscreen. It is an entire multimedia gaming system on its own. Unlike the Wii U Gamepad, it does not need to be anywhere near a PS3 to pl...
Gold.
Hahah you seriously believe that?
Voice command can be done with ANY mic. It's dependent on the software. There are games that have done it before Kinect.
Heck, don't even get me started on gesture commands and the EyeToy.
But you make a good point. Kinect has good uses outside of gaming. It seems like it's good for anything BUT gaming ;)
Sprites are the best. Never liked the bulky 3D models of SF4. Although I did not mind the MvC3 models.
Whenever I play BlazBlue, P4A or KoFXIII, I can't help but imagine how cool SF would be like that.
*Capcom
SEGA has already done mascot fighting games before. Even before Nintendo did.
I wonder... if Sega does do a 4 player brawler like SSB, will the fanboys claim it's a cheap rip off and say that Nintendo should sue them? Because apparently, in their minds, Nintendo owns exclusive rights to the whole genre.
I say, the more the merrier. Look at other games like KoF, Guilty Gear, Mortal Kombat, BlazBlue, etc, I don't see Captor fussing over every other 1 ...
That's what he obviously meant.
Not everyone has high end PCs.
The guy is hyped for the game. 'Fishy Fingers' and others took it literally and too far.
I haven't seen many other games like it. So I'll just leave it at that.
* Console gaming in NA.
Hell, Sony also helped shape the industry defining modern games with the PS1.
There. Everyone contributes one way or another. But I don't think that was the topic.
Nothing new.
People would be calling them arrogant, among other things.
PR talk is PR talk.
@ziggurcat
Not sure why you would make that statement if you're going to end up contradicting yourself by acknowledging that Bethesda didn't develop the game....
That wasn't even the main subject. But ok....
Learn what? Is there some sort of unwritten law that says multi-touch "is for non button devices"?
You might want to tell that to Sony because that's what they did with the Vita. Multi-touch screen + dual analog sticks and buttons. So think before calling people bastards.
Besides, that was only a response to LX-General's ridiculous PR about "next gen innovations" after 7 yea...
because the Vita is an entire multimedia gaming system on its own with its own games and features. It does NOT need to be in front of the PS3 to work, and because of this, you cannot compare prices.
Talking about price, market, etc, does NOT deter from the fact that Cross-Control and Cross-Play does indeed have much of the same functionality of the Gamepad. http://www.youtube.com/watc...
...
PR talk is PR talk.
But the fact remains that Cross-Control and Cross-Play have much of the functionality of the Wii U Gamepad. Talking about the market and other trivial bs does not deter from that fact.
Sony announced this feature and released the Vita before the Wii U. They would need to have a time machine to guess what the Wii U was going to do.
The PS Vita was designed for this.
Length isn't everything.... unless it's an exclusive. Then it's used as hate fuel.
By your genius logic, every 1-on-1 2D fighter is a "complete rip off" and copy of Street Fighter, right?
How about every 3D fighting game. They're all just Virtua Fighter rip offs?
War FPSs?
Side scrolling beat em ups?
Turn based RPGs?
Racing games?
Is every TV a rip off of RCA's first commercial TV? (lol)
It's called a GENRE.
And why would we care what a non-gamer thinks a screenshot looks...
""I'm saying that they copied the proven, successful Smash Bros. Formula with All-Stars.""
And what formula is that???
The one were you make characters from different games fight on screen? Very mind blowing, especially since it has been done before and during SSB's time.
So I guess your grandma being able to recognize Mario or not is a defining factor here?
This game is mostly gear towards PlayStation fans, not ...
It's like none of you haters have played a Tomb Raider game before or Uncharted.
Tomb Raider was more of a puzzle heavy platformer.
Uncharted is more of an an action shooter. Gameplay mechanics are different.
"but treasure hunter = Tombs Raiderz derp".
Anyway, new Tomb Raider on the other hand, looks a lot more like Uncharted.
So guess who's copying whom now.
RROD, E74, modded and perma-banned systems... it all adds up.
360 is the real 3rd place system.
