This isN't about 1st party titles. It's about exclusives. And exclusives can be either 1st or 3rd party. There's no rule that says that it must only be 1st party to count as one.
3rd party games today are almost all multiplatform. But in the PS1/2 days a lot of games by 3rd party devs were exclusive.

There are exceptions. Some(few) developers are given the time and freedom they need to create what they want. But publishers like EA, among others, don't believe in this.
They have a conveyor-belt way of making games, using a cookie cutter process based on current trends to maximize profit... or something like that, lol

The proof is in the GAMES! It's doing the SAME thing as current gen systems. It has just caught up with PS3/360 after 7 years.
It may be Nintendo's next-gen, but not next-gen in gaming overall. This will become clear when the new consoles arrive and the Wii U starts looking outdated, just like the Wii did.
One would expect a lot more sales considering the Wii has the biggest install base by ow of all other Nintendo home consoles.

Sony said the PS4 would "definitely be more powerful than the Wii U".
However we don't know anything from Microsoft about the next Xbox in that regard.

I thought it would be new gameplay. It's the same one from the demo.
Speaking of the demo, I found all his regular attacks pointless with regular enemies since you can simply run up to them and instant kill them with Blade Mode.
Also, parrying is ok, but I feel like there needed to be some sort of dodge/dash maneuver.

PS3 launched at the end of 2006 and we got games like Resistance and MotorStorm In 2007, we got Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk among many others.
In 2008 we got LBP, Resistance 2, Valkyria Chronicles, Metal Gear Solid 4... you know, I'm not gonna bother to continue.
