This game actually stood out from all the cookie cutter games out there. I'm shocked that it didn't reach it's funding goals.
Battlefront is running at 900p 60 FPS on the PS4 and 720p on the Xbox One. While there are a handful of games that runs well on the PS4 there a ton that doesn't quite live up to the nextgen hype. If the PS4K get us closer to the 1080p 60 fps dream then I'm all for it.
Forget about the graphics. For comparison go watch about 30 mins of PS4 gameplay, then watch some PC gameplay. The performance difference is freaking huge.
This is why we need the PS4K so badly. The PS4 is just too under powered to push the current gen games.
As soon as this so called PS4 4K comes out, it'll fly off the shelves. Lets not be stupid and pretend that it won't.
The storyline was interesting, thats about it.
Awwww, the fanboy is angry.
This game like Destiny is nothing more than series of gear check. So start hording your loot.
Sorry but until someone can prove that VR is an experience that I would want for more than 1 hour there's no way I'm buying.
This is coming from someone with actual VR experience. I'm willing to bet that most people on this forum have no idea WTF they're talking about when it comes to VR.
This game tend to lead to polarizing opinions and both sides are correct. Regardless of your point of view, what is certain is that The Division will certainly improve and bring people to the middle over time as the devs release more content and make changes to the game.
I know it might sound like an excuse, but the truth is that persistent online games such as this one are never truly complete and could change drastically over time.
They're building an entire platform from the ground up. Steam wasn't build in a day you know.
Ubisoft do not have any experience in handling large scale online gaming prior to The Division and it shows. It's so bad that when you try to click on the link to buy the DLC costume pack on Uplay it takes you to page that doesn't have the DLC. The only way to buy this DLC is from a third party then claim it Uplay.
Crossplat play with indies isn't a big deal. Do the same for AAA like The Division, Rise of The Tomb Raider and Gears of War Ultimate then we'll something to talk about.
I didn't expect much from The Division and it still let me down. The online loot grind I don't mind. The lack of end game content I don't mind. However what I was expecting is a shared world shooter which this game is definitely not. There is no shared world at all. With the exception of the DZ the entire game is solo online with match making.
The realization that I'm playing solo and can only see other gamers at the Safe House, in match making, or in the DZ...
The fact that I can only encounter other agents with matchmaking or by entering the DZ is a design flaw that Ubisoft needs to fix. Without that the PS4 gameplay is exactly the solo game with match making as you stated.
In this aspect at least Destiny got it right. The fact that I can roam world and run into random Guardians fighting baddies is a feature that I sorely miss. The Division just feels static and empty without it.
1080p @ 60fps takes 2k? LMAO. The ignorance is astounding.
Lara is the obvious choice here. Agreed.
Without mod support UWP is going no where. It'll be a place to play some games where mods and customization is not a priority like MS crossplat games sure. But it won't be the ultimate destination.
Steam is the feature king of the gaming world, not just the PC gaming world so I don't see them unseating Lord Gaben anytime soon.
The Souls series came a long way since it was first released on the PC. The only issue now is if they're going to put an effort in stopping the cheaters.
If you dont't have good internet then this is not the game for you. I mean it's an online shooter. So yeah....you're going to need a decent connection obviously.
The Vive is clearly the most advanced one. There's a Youtube video where the 1 to 1 tracking is so fast that you can throw the motion controller up the air in real life, then catch with your VR hand just like you would if your face isn't covered by a giant head mount.
No other VR system can do this.
