This is a retailer scam, not Nvidia scam thanks to the misleading title. Which is par for course with N4G. Ultimately this isn't a big a deal, since they're inflating their price it's pretty easy to catch.
This is like saying that Dragon Age: Inquisition GoTY was released 2015 then granting it a GoTY in 2015.
There's not enough ITX cases this year. I have zero interest in these bloated towers. PC gaming doesn't need towers with enough fans to fly kite inside of it anymore.
Syndicate was good, but hardly GoTY and Divinity was released in 2014.
Without Madden in there you're just paying for a bunch of bargain level games. All of these games have very low value on the PC.
This is a great interview. I feel a lot better about the price now.
I preordered the PC version for $35. Lets see the X1 holds up to that. Oh and if you think you can tell the difference between the two versions with this shit video quality then you're smoking crack. Just like everything else the PC version will be a stark contrast contrast to the X1 version.
The previous Witcher games have enhanced or GoTY editions and they were all patched up for free. This is the norm on the PC. Games like Divinity and Wasteland 2 were also free upgrades to the Director's Cut/Enhanced Edition too.
On the console...well that's up to Sony or MS. You might have to pay the console tax.
The Vive is nice but most of it's features will be pointless for average consumer. Nobody have the space to setup and entire room to walk around in VR with a long cables attached to your head. At this stage I would prefer a stationary experience for a lower price.
LOL this is pretty much a lock. This isn't EA and Dragon Age.
It's a guide for a game that is essentially a death marathon. I don't care how many times you read the guide and what you know ahead of time. It won't ruin anything.
Darksouls 3 is coming to the PC in about 3 months. From the look of the gameplay it's basically the best of both the Souls and Borne gameplay combined.
I have to choose the OR or a new 4K Bluray player. I'm going with the 4K Bluray player, at least when I spend $600 on the player the wife will get something out of it.
Stuff I'm willing spend $500-800 for this year.
1. Nvidia new Pascal GPU. Gotta have this, can't wait.
2. Samsung's new 4K Bluray player. A must have to bring my awesome 4K TV to life.
3. New iPad Pro. Just got it. Ouch.
Sorry OR, you didn't make the list.
$400 would be a decent price considering the fact that the PSVR comes with it's own co-processor which will inflate the cost even more.
It's not about value, it's more about knowing exactly I get for my money. $600 on a new Nvidia Pascal GPU which is rumored to be a 4K powerhouse will do more for my games than a VR headset ever could.
What an awesome game. I played the crap outta this game and I'm on my way to finishing the DLC but it's a very niche game. Many of my gamer friends won't even touch the Souls game. I guess this is why FROM is abandoning the Souls franchise after Darksouls 3.
I can afford this no problem. The problem is that it's really hard for me to justify the expense. This $600 is better spent on the next GPU upgrade is a superior investment in all regards.
My PC setup is on rather on the high end and I love hi tech toys but at this $600 price I dunno. I would rather spend that money on a new Nvidia Pascal GPU due out this year vs a $600 head mount that only have a handful of tech demos and indie quality games.
Long story short, without widespread industry support there's no way I'm jumping on the VR bandwagon at release. Bring down to $400 then I'll do it.
Its a Souls game. Some people love them to death because they're challenging, others view them as repetitive death marathons. Both are right.
No wonder FROM is leaving the genre after DS 3. The Souls fanboys are extremely particular about this brand of gameplay so it can be difficult to innovate. But am excited for their new IP, FROM makes good stuff.
