When Steam first came out most people regard it as an answer to a solution nobody needed. Much like how most people think of Steam Machine today. But I think Valve is on to the something here and they're well on their way to creating an entirely new gaming platform.
The most important thing is how they go about doing it. Unlike Sony and MS who just throw their creation out there to sink or swim, Valve is very open about their beta and feedback process. Whatever is the res...
LOL the specs would blow the nextgen consoles out of the water based on the GPU alone, the 780 GTX is a massive over kill for a system that is pretty much 1080p bound.
How is the PS4 version of this game vs the PC? My previous experience with the PS3 did not impress, it's not the graphics or the controls but rather the community and social features. I found that it's virtually impossible to communicate because most console players don't have keyboard so it's difficult to text chat with whispers and shouts. Have this changed at??
This game looks great on my 780 GTX :)
The ship combat and higher difficulty curve is what make this game great. Upgrading your ship takes time and the meta game of building a pirate fleet and trading the goods you plundered is freaking brilliant.
After playing this game it's clear to me why Watch Dogs got delayed. There's no way it can measure up to AC Black Flag without a ton of polish and added depth. This is clearly the best launch game out there.
I usually hate AC games. They're boring, they lack depth, they're formulaic. AC Black Flag is none of those things. The ship combat is fun, and the constant drive to upgrade both ship and character are addicting as hell. The refocusing of stealth in the franchise is fantastic too.
I don't know where the AC franchise can go after this but it's damn hard to top this campaign without awesome vehicle combat in the next game.
Mirrors Edge with zombies. Not exactly what I was looking for in the zombie genre. I prefer my zombie games with more survival than action and in that regard State of Decay is king.
So the nextgen is being lead by an under clocked 7870. Thats fine for now, but what about 5 years from now? Too bad it can't be 7980, that really would've made me happy with power to spare for a true 1080p console.
I hate it when they post stories like this without pictures.
I hate it when Romans are depicted with English accents.
I agree. Ryse looks freaking sweet but I wonder how many of those screens are bullshots from cut scenes.
So what happens Planetside 2 isn't 1080p. Does that mean the PS4 isn't a true nextgen console or will it be about the experience then? How about Elder Scrolls Online and EQ Next? Are they going to be 1080p too?
I fear that Sony marketing and the fanboy hordes are writing checks their console can't cash.
I was talking in term of a digital "service". Origin is utterly garbage, many of their games still do not offer any achievements or forums aside from Battlefieldm and unlike Steam or Origin, unlocking achievements on Uplay can grant you additional content.
In terms of publisher digital service goes, Uplay is the one I hate the least.
If ubisoft didn't care about PC then Uplay wouldn't exist, not only that but the fact that Uplay is second only to Steam should be telling enough.
I may get one so I can hook my PS4 into it LOL!!
Crazy as in good or bad? Because I'm looking to pick one up for my PC.
N4G is the cesspool of humanity.
I have no idea what the FPS is since I was too busy enjoying the game, all I know is that I noticed no frame rate issues what so ever in 1440p in max settings (did not see option for ultra). There was a driver update before the game release that target AC performance, perhaps you should check that out.
LOL look at all the fanboys drooling at how good 1080p is. I got myself a 780 GTX recently and recieved AC Black Flag as one of my free games and wow. This game looks amazing in 1440p so resolution do matter. The higher the better. But until Gamefly deliver my copy I wouldn't be able to tell how good AC look on the PS4.
They already made a statement about their console plans. According to Chris Roberts the consoles are too under powered for this game.
