This could be the year when the COD gravy train finally stop. The game clearly isn't doing anything worthy of being called a nextgen tittle when everything on release date is yearning to distinguish itself.
The resolution issue is about paying more for less. It seems that the roles have been reversed. Now the Xbox gamers will have inferior multiplats while PS4 gamers enjoy better looking games for the same price.
The problem with EA is that their business practices simply isn't popular with gamers in general.
The lockdown of the NFL franchise is a clear example. Another one is Origin, which is nothing more than a store front, unlike Steam which is more like a service.
Long story short, everything EA does it does so to milk cash instead of offering a service to the gamers.
This is running on a Nvidia 640 which is weaker than the PS4 GPU but writing on already on the wall. In about 2-4 years tablets will easily be on par if not better than the PS4.
The good news is that it cost $1200.

Resolution is only a factor if it's higher than the Xbox One. I don't see any of the Sony fanboys being disappointed about the PS4 inability to hit 1080p 60 FPS in BF 4, which is a huge red flag in terms of nextgen viability. I mean if the PS4 can't hit 1080p in BF4 then how will it handle BF 5?
Yet all I'm seeing how the PS4 is a 1080p console while the Xbox One can only do 720p. Last I checked 900p isn't 1080p, which is the resolution I expected my next...

Building your own system is part of being a PC gamer. In some ways it's part of the requirement to carry the gaming master race card. Console gamers just accept what their brand handed down to them and take it like a good boy. As a PC gamer you can cherry pick every single component to make system perform to YOUR expectations, not Sony, not Microsoft.
I have never spent 3k on a PC my entire life and all my gaming PCs were beasts.

The actual details of the PS4 processor is interesting but ultimately irrelevant. In the inability to hit 1080p 60fps in all games speak volumes. The power to push all nextgen games with ease simply isn't there. Instead what we get is just enough rendering juice to hit 1080p, but sacrifices must be made for performance.

If this game was release on the PS4 and Xbox One it'll be bugged as hell too. The issue in many cases is with EA Battlelog.
It's totally crap and way too intrusive. The fact Battlelog is mapped to a button is incredibly offensive.

There is no point in boasting about 1080p and 60 FPS when it doesn't impress anyone. For a CoD game that is pretty much expected.
Sony fanboys only give a damn about resolution and specs in relation to thier console war with MS. Outside of that they have zero expectations of what nextgen really means other than what their Master Cerny tells them.
