You can't control the PS3 with IR either so I fail to see how this is news.
Because BF4 nearly unplayable with this setup. Look at all the vertical lines in the middle of the display.
PC gamers can be extremely silly like this. When you have so much raw power on hand you just come up with random crap like 6 monitors stitched together to make a 5K display just for the hell of it. But really just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should.

That 300mb PS4 update is freaking huge when the only thing I want to do after taking it out of the box is the play my games.
Most of the Nvidia's issues with Tegra came from the subpar performance of Tegra 3 devices like the first Nexus 7 and HTC One X which were fantastic for games but not so great for normal operations. These devices suffered from frequently UI lag and below average battery life. Since then both have abandoned Nvidia for Qualcomm chips.

The problem with Tegra is that it's gaming centric and thus runs damn hot and consume too much power.
All Playstation games have DRM because you need to sign in to PSN network to play online, so I'm not sure how DRM is relevant.
Community pop is a bigger issue here. This is why I think War Thunder is going to be huge on the PS4. From day one there will thousands of players to play around the clock because it's drawing from a pool of both PS4 players and the existing PC community.
I'm not interested in this game until they have cross platform play. The player base for this on the PC is freaking huge. You can find random players to coop with around the clock and by going with the PS4 version I'll be giving that up.
Now that the capability of the PS4 and the PC is almost equal and controls isn't an issue, I don't see why cross plat isn't available in more PC ports.

You are completely missing the point. This is Steam attempt to move into the living room on the back of a platform which they totally dominate. Unlike MS which forces you to choose side between their console platform and the PC, Valve is covering all the options and more.
You want enjoy games on the PC? Steam does that. You want to stream PC games from your uber desktop gaming PC to the TV? Steam does that. You need a gaming PC that is designed to sit next to your TV? Steam ...
I don't see the hate at all. These gameplay footage actually look good. The graphics are amazing and truely nextgen. Just look at the texture quality and high poly count characters.
This is probably the best title for a gaming article ever.
I would like DCUO to go PS4 only and abandon the crapstatic PS3 512 MB limitation. That would do wonders for this MMO potential in terms of zones, animations and game design. Along that line it would also be nice to allow cross platform play and unite the PC and console community. With the PS4 nextgen capabilities there is no longer any reason to keep the two communities separated.
