the sad fact is the first slew of game will be shovelware, the only good thing wii is known for is first party games that will never make it to MOVE. in my eyes the conference yesterday was just as bad as MS' natal showing last year
why not just wait and pick up GoW3 at a later date, the game will still be there. and its singleplayer, you wont be missing anything if you fail to get it at launch.
for anyone that wants to try for the beta test on PC, head over to http://entry.ffxiv.com/
I would be cautious about signing up for both, as the application clearly states any older applications will be invalid. I would love to know what one gives the best chance to get in.
Wow more crying about the unified score of FFXIII, all a different score means is fanboys will used it as ammo in this pathetic attempt at oneuping the other console owners. SE could care less that you think this way, but they do care if you buy the game or not, so stick to your word and don't buy it.
@UP 1.11
well that's his decision, i will personally be doing the same thing even though i still want to play through it. I just finished GoWCollection(GoW1) last night and still have GoW2 to get through. that being the case I can wait for a sale on GoW3.
then you have not played the crack that is peggle.
I can't believe they didn't mention riding the propane tanks into the air, i was trying to get this to work in the demo and it was hilarious.
agreed GEC, i still play gears1/2 once a week on either saturday or friday and its a blast.
@1.1 "i think they should've done a 360 beta too
because i got it on the PS3 and no problems at all"
i think if the PS3 version had as many people playing it would have the same problems.
wow, good to see your US gun laws are working out for you. fuc&, i'm glad i don't live down there
what good is GoD when we can't find any 120GB drives in stores and withholding the 250GB for some dumb reason.
you might be right, i didn't even bother reading the article but it might be a legal hurdle that MS can't/wont jump over. Another possibility is it just might not be financially sound for MS to launch in a new market (eastern Europe). it also means more language and localization work, who knows. it sucks, but people are getting around that problem even though content is set for a specific country.
i love how there is more material on that one glove than the whole top she is wearing.
has anyone ever stopped to think that most developers want to stay independent? just look at what happened to infinity ward a few days ago, or the countless studios that have been shut down after a publisher purchases them.
If you think PS3 developers stay with the system just because it says Sony on it your foolish, its all about money, nobody in the real world cares about console wars...
"Activision also says it's looking to expand the franchise with the same focus seen in its Blizzard Entertainment business. This includes looking at "high-margin digital online content" and taking the series to "new geographies, new genres and with new digital business models.""
looks like the talk of a subscription based CoD was true.
if you think there was no in house QA testing for MW2 your wrong.
This game sold to the tune of 12million units in 2009 and the sheer amount of people playing and fuc&ing around with exploits and hacks is staggering, of course your going to get problems.
I bet you that if killzone2 was as popular and sold that many copies you would have similar situation concerning glitches/exploits.
the shareholders are probably loving what activision is doing here, they are making money hand over fist that's what matters to them. activision is more of a big faceless corporation than a publisher of video games these days and it shows.
There is a fine line between making good video games and making money, and activision is so far past the line I'm not sure the suits know what they are selling anymore
are you done with your fanboy rant? we're talking about IW/activision here.
im afraid it might too late in the game for IW to salvage itself from this debacle.(if its not a stunt) the lead designers are gone and the fate of the developer is in limbo, the remaining top heads of IW might sell off what ever remains of the company.
as time goes on it seems activision is more of a faceless corporation trying to bleed the market for money rather than a publisher of videogames. and i don't think this is the best way to grow the industry.
This is N4G, its like bizzaro-world.
