have you played gears2 within the last year? because if you had, you would know most glitches are gone and there is the occasional laggy match.
agreed, but if it is included in the VIP deal i'll be ok with it.
damn, does anyone remember the days of games like UT99 which had maps and mode support years after release for free?
BC1 didn't have any paid DLC, so i have faith in DICE keeping it that way. i think it included additional maps and the conquest mode.
ps- the SPECACT kits are pretty much class skins even though its a paid/promo by EA/dr.pepper
sony: im hoping for some new game announcements they haven't shown yet, BC ps2 support, downloadable PSP games that can be played on PS3.
ms: more xblive features due to the axing of legacy xbox1 support, 360slim, a new console in 2011, free multiplayer for silver members
tendo: not really sure what to say about the big N, i don't own a wii or DS, how about wii HD? lol.. oh. virtual console games for xbl/psn, but that belongs in the other two camps. ...
lol, you think BFBC2 sucks because a few people like to go do their own thing and bushwookie it up?
oh well, one less bitchy kid who cries everytime he gets shot trying to knife a M16A2 user from 15 feet away.
firmware hacks are inevitable, other OS was just an easier way to go about it. what they need to do is offer a better alternative to hacked systems. and they have it right now with PSN support.
people have every right to do what ever they want to their systems, hack it, leave it alone, take a shit in the disc drive, whatever.
@shadow
I guess so, well enough to continue as #3 in the handheld gaming market behind the DS and iPhone. SONY cares about piracy, and it is an issue for them, wouldn't you be as a proponent of the PSP?
They want control so they can make money off of the thing. the balancing act comes from the lost sales of games and the fact that lots of people buy a PSP for homebrew and emulators.
its the first thing i did when i got my 1.50FW PSP.
you totally missed the point of the article. the author thinks these lawsuits will somehow deter future functionality by scaring the console makers into limited updates or no updates at all.
while the real reason behind the killing off of other OS was due to SONY wanting the PS3 to remain a closed system. why on earth would they want another psp type underground creating all these great apps for free when they could control it themselves.
i don't think it...
lol goddamn people with spoilers. i didn't read any of it but here's a spoiler for you.
"your little dick will fall off 5 years from now due to a case of extreme atrophy"
if kz2 is so superior, why do i find myself playing BFBC2 and gears instead of that game?
"They already announced their biggest game of not only this year but next"
yup, almost as if they were launching a new console by winter 2011. anyone see the writing on the wall?
not to mention the supposed upgrade to xboxlive through the removal of legacy support for xbox1.
its surprises like this that make E3 exiting, sure getting updates on known games is all good. but E3 is one of the best ways to announce something "new"
i find it odd that MS and SONY has announced games like gears3 and LBP2 so close to E3, diminishing their E3 shock value.
because MS sated they would be holding two conferences, one for natal and another traditional E3 style showing. do some homework and go find the article where greenburg states it.
price drops are always good. I picked up bioshock2 and masseffect2 for $35each two weeks ago.
it looks like LostPlanet2 set for a $40 launch price

hold on a second, i have had a 360 for over 4 years and picked up a ps3 when the price dropped last year. you make it seem like the two consoles are so far apart its like comparing two separate generations, which is total bullshit. the fact is your a pennyless fanboy who cant afford the best of both worlds.
xaviertooh: he only does ps3
is anyone having problems viewing the comment section? it seems whenever i click on the link it will bring me to a textonly version
lol i could totally see hellvacancy pissing himself like a exited dog about this news. the same goes for all the ps3 fanboys on this site.
with all the success MS has had with its limited first party support, i don't think its big on their list of things to do. It also seems that developers these days would rather be independent than tied down to a single platform.
i guess it was a tossup between ativision and EA. who do you sign with? the devil or the former devil?
lol, something tells me you still wouldn't get a 360 if live were free. how can a optional $50 fee for a year of online features stop you from picking up a system with close to one thousand games to play?
