Did you even read beyond the headline? It's less about the fact that no one will remember them, more about the fact that compared to other mediums, video games have a very short shelf life. Books will last for hundreds of years, video games become irrelevant in decades, maybe even less.

And they post stuff about next-gen all the time, I think its ok to give that topic a rest at some point.

Nobody was claiming that it would.

The music is spectacular. I got the soundtrack with the Survival Edition and still listen to it constantly.

And thanks, I had hoped someone would like that line. :)

Just wait for the 11/10 Pokemon X/Y review.

"Other than the money's paid."
So basically it's not at all like downloading off of torrent sites. While this isn't a great practice, it's not at all similar to downloading off torrents.

Guy looks like a guido. He should've yelled "GRENADE!"

Did we play the same game? You say you want more emphasis on stealth, and then in the same breath claim you want more emphasis on swordplay. I played the game about 7 or 8 times (getting the platinum trophy) and everytime I tried to vary my playstyle. In my experience, swordplay was as emphasized as you wanted it to be, as was stealth.

Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty aren't Playstation's.

He started getting all tongue tied and then said "I'd love to talk to you about anything Vita related when... or if the time comes." He definitely screwed up, you can tell just by the way he loses his composure.

@4logpc I'm pretty sure it comes with that protective pouch they've been showing in their press pictures. And when it isn't in the pouch, what's worse, a missing top screen or a scratched screen?

It doesn't fold so that kids (who the 2DS is targeted at) won't snap the hinges. It makes it sturdier.

4526d ago 6 agree2 disagreeView comment

Because its targeted at kids 7 and under. If it does have hinges there is less chance that it will break.

4526d ago 3 agree1 disagreeView comment

If Nintendo's intended audience with this is children, I don't think many of them will care about a second analog stick. Kids will be playing Animal Crossing and Pokemon with this, not Monster Hunter.

I think people are missing the point of the 2ds (probably just seeing pics, not reading articles/press releases). I keep seeing people say "well I won't buy one, looks like a toy". Good. You aren't supposed to buy one. Nintendo has said that this is being targeted at small kids who shpuldnt use the 3d and its made to be more like a toy. It isn't meant for an adult, the normal 3ds is.

4526d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

It's SUPPOSED to look like a kid's toy. They made this for kids 7 and under, and priced it so that it's not as daunting a purchase. This is actually really smart, even if it isn't meant.

It's supposed to be a child's toy, it's targeted at kids under 7. That's also why it's cheaper.

@SoulMikeY Woah, woah, ease up there. It's not about "having bills and a family", I don't know where you pulled that one from. 15$ a month on top of a $60 retail game? That's 240$ in one year. I find it hard to believe that many people will justify that kind of money on one game. Is FFXIV succeeding? Sure. After a failed initial launch and a reboot. FFXIV is one successful game in a much larger group of sub based MMOs that have failed. I don't want to get into semant...

4530d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Yes, because sub based MMO's are so prevalent and successful recently. If you aren't WoW then you won't succeed in the subscription based MMO market. The Old Republic and DCUO, two games with HUGH brand recognition and appeal, couldn't even survive a year on a subscription based model.
