The reason the others cease to exist is because they died at the convergence. All of them after the convergence cease to exist, all them before are fine. The story makes sense if you look at it long enough. Personally, I agree with the 9.5 this reviewer gave it.
Guys, this isn't Solid Snake. They used a different VA for Naked Snake in MGS4 and no one complained then. If they do keep it this way, its just to make a clear difference between Solid and Naked.

Yeah, they would, but that is verbatim what the IGN review said. At the very least he could have reworded it. Not a huge deal, just a bit odd.

The thing is though, he didn't even mean it in the sense that Jeff Gertsman was going to rape him. He meant that he looked tired, something that roofies do to you and because it is used as "the date rape drug" people assumed he was making light of rape. I bet rape didn't even cross his mind when he tweeted that.
Jesus, lighten up people. I saw the tweet earlier IN CONTEXT. Laughed it off and went on with my day. Rape never crossed my mind because he never mentioned or implied it.
And really? A s***storm? So now two or three people being hypersensitive is worthy of news?
It's not connected to its predecessors in terms of story, just thematically. So yeah, you'd be fine skipping the first two. But I'd recommend playing the first as its relatively cheap and very fun.

Well seeing as how Scott Lowe is IGN's tech editor, it's more likely EA doing something shady. I don't think he'd draw attention to something his site is doing wrong. Why would someone who works at IGN Tweet something possibly incriminating to them? I think this is EA being arrogant and using this as a place holder for a real ad.

Ok, thanks for the tip. I just changed it back, only changed it in the first place because I second guessed the original score- I thought it might be too high for what I wrote in the text. I haven't written any reviews in a while, so I'm a bit rusty, I'm going to have to work on how I interpret the 1-10 scoring scale since I felt like I used to use the 7.5-10 a bit too much. Again, thanks for the advice!

I couldn't watch half this video. This guy seems like the kind of person who likes to get on his soapbox when he's in his room, but if confronted in real life he'd piss his pants and run away. It was painful to watch this kid bash IGN with a metaphorical sword made up of half truths, assumptions and bias. Get a life kid, realize that business is business. IGN is there to make money, but if every game got a good review off of advertising alone there would be far more 10/10s.

I believe its understood (or maybe someone states it) that the baptism is one of the universal constants talked about earlier in the end sequence. After the drowning, it goes from being a constant to a variable due to the infinite loop being closed. After the credits takes place before Lutece took Anna, but due to the infinite loop being closed there will never be a debt. Either that or he is in some afterlife type deal. I think the after the credits scene is meant to be up for interpretatio...
