Not entirely. If the achievements are for things like collectibles or neat little easter eggs, then they are fun as well. What's NOT fun is playing a game you otherwise wouldn't just for easy gamerscore.
I dont think theyre meant to be flaunted in public as massive achievements, they're just to increase replay value. That said, some people do have an issue with getting addicted to things like this, but they are the minority. Trophies/achievements are there for fun and replay value, not as a serious means of validation.

I think the map might just be for presentation purposes, not a gameplay mechanic. From what I've heard it is "open-world" and you have to go location to location on foot or with vehicles. So yes, the same old Zombies gameplay with some huge additions. I would like to see a demo or something though.
Looks like there is actually a way to win now. Once you kill all the zombies you take the bus to the next mission? Either way, I'm excited!
I have a feeling that when Resistance was in development (and the public thought it would be decent), activision figured, hey let the do 2 fps. And then Resistance came out to poor reviews and it was too late to change devs.

Just bought and started playing the HD Collection today. I wish Ratchet would go back to its roots, the originals are so fun.
