Maybe so. But I will say that the days when offline video game consoles die so will my hobby. I use internet quit a bit but I could surely live without it. That's why I don't own a gaming pc or a tablet and decided against xb1 (Even though MS 180'd that it was still enough for me to stay far away from it. I'm in a minority though so whatever).

No they don't. Thats why controls are mapped to rear touch pad. For the cost of that touchpad that NOBODY other than media molecule has made use of they should have just added buttons to the analog sticks or maybe just another face button to map r2/r3 - l2/l3.
Edit: oh and LBP vita used back touchpad kinda cool too.
@Sly, yeah BF4 is prime example. I can't remote play because of it. Not that it doesn't work, its actually been pretty smooth for me but my thumb touches the screen and keep bringing up some battlelog shit. Breaks the immersion. I have small hands so I don't think that matters as much as the sticks being so small andclose to the super responsive touchscreen.
Exactly, as soon as the sucker sales drop so will the price. You can get TR for $ 25-35 now yet there was people complaining about it being 60.

Could it be that PS+ has something to do with having more rentals. Hell I've thought about it more now than ever. Rent a game I really want that's new, experience the story (idc about MP), if it winds up on + i can take my time and do extras and stuff. Or some games are just worth a rent to me.

Change gaming forever...yeah right. The wii was supposed to do that and it sold a lot but died just as quickly. now the best selling system has a standard controller and plays games. Should I mention the One that still based its console around the same gimmics and game changing ideas? How is that turning out?

If a mainstream mobile controller was released I could get into more mobile games. I will wait for an official google play controller or whatever apples got cooking with their rumored larger iphone screen. I just don't want a hodgepodge of workarounds. I have a expired S4 im holding onto just for this.
I love my vita but I think by years end it will just be my pocket ps4.
Good read. Some people like to hate on certain brands for whatever reason but reality it the console business is a very hard business to break into.
Imo I knew this would flop from the get go. I'd also like to stop hearing how mobile chipsets are going to become sooooo powerful that it could make consoles redundant. Hasnt that been the case since tegra 1 was announced, yet here we are 4 years later still singing "wait till x chip comes out" tune.
