The only “sell” is the subscription. Which by the way the highest tier less than $5mo.
I played it on my legion go for giggles and got 110fps low/med settings at 800p with only RSR and still wasn’t maxing out the chip.
It really looked decent on small screen but this is not a game to play on a handheld but sure shows how well optimized BF6 is.
I bought OG Ally a few years ago and still use it almost daily. It’s been a godsend for my lifestyle. Haven’t touched my consoles or laptop since.
It’s not going to give super high graphics or battery life but for me it allows me to at least enjoy games in some fashion again.
Just understand most new games will need to be ran on low/medium settings and 30fps.
I just sold my launch day series x 2 weeks ago on eBay for $400+shipping and it sold same day I posted it. I don’t know if it’s purely a price issue or availability issue but I was happy with what I got.
CoD will still be popular as ever. 2042 is just scratching the itch of folks who want more BF after playing the beta.
This happens all the time. Look at Fallout76 after the show came out….
Pfft. That’s some carefully wrote PR. Continuing support and developing new games are two different things.
Took a whole month to come up with that?
When they gutted turn 10 I finally unsubscribed from GP and sold my SX on eBay.
Too bad it won’t fix stick drift. Probably have less than 5hrs on my unit and MK is damn near unplayable now. Damn you impulse purchasing.
MS tried exactly that with Xbox one and we all know how that turned out.
Closing studios, layoffs, leadership changes, PS plus increases, multiple game cancellations and delays, total flops like concord. Slowest release of first party games of any generation and they just shut down PS stars I guess because it was costing to much.
Yet they announce record profits…..the greed here is insane, MS and Nintendo too. All of them milking gamers and we just keep lapping it up like a blood hound for a meal.
Them tariffs are really hitting them hard I see....
How much is a dock for that damn thing if they want $180 to “repair” that one? No way in hell that dock is that expensive.
Nintendo will Nintendo I guess.
I’m mostly on PC these days but I sub to gamepass. Honestly, if it’s not on gamepass I don’t buy games from MS.
Avowed, E33, Oblivion are part of that service and and what I’ve been bouncing around on all year and still haven’t completed them.
That’s ironic.
Let’s say you have a kid that has to play COD every year. Well you’re paying $15mo just to play online regardless. Then you’re spending $80 on just that one game.
Or you spend just $5 more per mo and only spend $60 over the course of the year and also get day one availability of all the other games.
Knock it all you want but for many people it’s a set it and forget it type deal.
It’s not for everyone and you’ll have a better experience on console on a TV for sure.
This does fill a niche market though, I’m pushing 40 and have a 2yr old. I work 55hrs a week and always busy playing catch up. I can’t sit on a couch and play a game all day long like I used to 20yrs ago.
I actually get more playtime since I got my Ally, it’s super convenient. But it comes with a cost.
Same here. I’ve had my OG almost 2yrs now and still runs flawless. I take it to work to play on lunch everyday and when my toddler is sleeping. I love it.
This is actually a very nice design. Ive had my OG elite controller forever but almost makes me want to upgrade. Especially for Bluetooth capability to use with PC.
Maybe, it’s brand new hardware a few months old but is generic isp hardware.
XB remote play local works amazing, and using my portal at home is flawless and runs like it was native.
But anything strictly played in cloud is so inconsistent.
Can’t hardwire a portal.
I don’t understand cloud gaming. I’ve tried them all. Ps5, Portal, ROG Ally, XB cloud and no matter what I do I just can’t play the games because of the lag and artifacting that breaks immersion.
I have 1gb fiber that was freshly installed as well.
Local remote play works pretty good from PS and XB but strictly streaming the whole game from the cloud has been a mediocre experience for me and definitely not worth the higher cost sub.
Pathetic.
@choco
I am aware. But $50yr is still less than $5mo.
