It looks really really awsome. But no, it doesn´t look better than the 2005 E3 trailer.
This must be the third or fourth article about this...
Just play the game once it is released, who cares about an almost four year old trailer? Sure, Guerilla built some hype with it, but the game will hold up perfectly to that I am sure.
Wow... so what if they are multiplat?
The article does not say the best xbox 360 exclusives... says games...
so yup, we are facing an era of mostly multiplatform games, they cost too much to make, devs want to ensure the revenue is as high as possible. Exclusives surely play a role in your console of choice and shouldn´t be disregarded at all, but I think MS did a good job so far, let´s see what else does 2009 brings that´s unnanounced. Bare in mind it´...
Vin Diesel, he doesn't have to speak much. Besides, @lsujester Kratos ain't black, no offense to black people arround the world... but no spartan was black... He might be invoiced by a black actor (great bvoice btw) But you need a more greek looking dude, something more latino (you know, not thaaat white, nor black...) So the Rock or Vin Diesel with a nose job would do the trick :P agree to all that proposed them :P
But really both actors are very good in physical roles, I mean....
It was pretty obvious, GTA being the openworld best choice... it's like a blend of genres alltogether. Plus it is a known franchise, sold well, had great critic's score and an overall good acceptance... Saw this coming...
IMHO I would have given this to MGS IV or GeOW II, I like GTA IV but not that much...
I just expected more of this game. Fortunately this is just the first trailer released so we can expect a leap forward as the game takes its final release form.
I am really not excited at all with the concept of home... I rather navigate through menus and go directly to the gaming in a more OS style thing than play in a virtual world (i really find it not 2005ish but late 90s as a concept for navigating an on-line environment and accessing other services) I rather play a MMORPG... this just seems like a washed out version of that (and totally style/personality lacking) ... But... I guess it is ok to have the option if you want to... I just would neve...
World is on recession... no surprise, many big companies are reducing staff and cutting budget here and there. Tough times for many people, hope those 8.000 can find a job fast :)
thanks for the data, and yup, it's a big world, so it surely meant no offense at all, specially coming from the opposite side of the globe :P
It's normal to see reference to one's culture from abroad being totally misplaced usually... like Madona's Evita... :P
It surely takes some time around living in a place to actually get to understand how people treat each other and what may or may not be an offense.
Thanks for the answer, you learn something new ev...
I see, thanks for the insight. Though I knew it came from the term "nigger", I didn´t know the common use among people in the US.
I guess it still is a "sensible" issue, which is perfectly ok given the history of slavery and racism. And anyways, I guess calling someone by a nick which makes reference to race/religion withought even knowing that person will always be offensive...
Anyways, this does nothing but stress my point. Mario does know...
I really enjoyed this game, as well as COD 4 I liked the split story (already used many times, I know but still like it) and both campaigns had their appeal. An Ok game to me, no need to trade in. I´ll keep it :P
Ok, please, someone clarify me this... I am from Argentina, therefore, though I know somehow how this goes I don't really know the inside outs of all this "nigga" issue.
So, African Americans and (I guess) among friends (i.e. a white dude who has an African American friend) use the word sometimes, right? (I even guess someone can be called nigga even without being African American, just for the sound of it, like saying dude...) Or is it completely offensive and totally ...
Completely Agree... SEGA=Hardcore gaming. Period
They are the fathers of console hardcore gamers and the first to attempt to bring arcades into your home. Also pioneers in new hardware approaches and online gaming (probably a little ahead of the time, which made it not suitable for the moment) (and they surely screwed it with the sega cd and 32x... which I both own and loved and still love :P)
As far as I am concerned... I feel MSoft´s approach to gaming with th...
All I can say to jamie is... the first to actually bring arcade quality games wouild be Neo Geo or Sega, for what that matters... Those are two TRUE arcade makers who turned to the console market.
Sony just had more money to push it´s console forward. As far As I see it Dreamcast was a much better console from day one than PS2 is, as well as the saturn beated PS1 in many areas (ill fated sega marketing and previous hardware installments made it a lousy seller outside japan)....
That´s how it looks! really really great!
I still think the ground needs more debris... it´s a warzone... too "clean" for my taste. At least in these screenshots, cna´t speak for the whoel game tho.
Looking forward to see this one released :)
I really haven´t played R2 yet, I do think it looks great and will probably play as much...
I have, on the other hand, played Gears 2...
And regarding all those comments about gears "not improving that much over the 1st game"...
I really see the point here, I do, Innovation is almos always something good. But can´t just, for once, a sequel that is very similar to it´s predecessor be just great? without the need to bring up the &q...
Well, I guess it´s up to the developer and it was purely a marketing issuer rather than a moral one. I really see no moral barrier to be broken in a game... it´s a game... It really doesn´t matter at all what you do in a game, it has no influence whatsoever of who you are in real life.
Gee I would get a grenade make a puppy swallow it, stuff the puppy into a kids mouth, toss the kid to a crippled old man in a wheelchair driven by an old lady and head shot the kid ...
Oh man!!! was he that talented kid who made all his Halo gear and guns??? man... sad loss, he was sure to become a videogame artist... or a lost nerd, but prolly a talented artist ñ.ñ.
Anyways... what move was he trying to imitate? the self headshot?...
Cheap... like in "really tempting cheap" :)
You will need a BIG A$$ screen to actually be able to perceive resolutions higher than 1080p from a normal couch-to-TV distance.
The human eye can spot an area of a square milimiter from a distance of 5 meters. I am pretty sure that a single pixel in a 42 inch LCD is smaller than that...
Now the colors... That´s another story. Brighter colors and more contrast are always welcome. Sunlight hits earth´s surface with great strength, giving any object in a sunl...
Ahh I guess it comes down to the approacha developer gives to the programming for its game...
Lets not get hasty at judging... bare in mind how poor did PS3 performed on some games when 360 did much better. I guess some programming is better oriented for the cell while other will do better with 360s architechture...
