That right there is enough to warrant laughing the article out until closure. We all know GameStop has their own bags of tricks, but News worthy? Really?
I think at this point Duke needs to be price pointed at 20 bucks in the stores or at least on Steam. There is NO WAY I am going to pay full $60 price for this game (not even out of nostalgic respect for Duke or 3D Realms). Gearbox can suck it if they think they are going to try and milk what cash they can out of the name. Especially when the game was just handed off to them to finish up and "polish".

I got the collectors edition new for 30 bucks just before PSN went down. Helped me survive the PSN wasteland.
The game is well worth 20 bones. It just gets so damn glitchy (even maddening at times), but you still love it anyway.

I'm looking forward to FC3. However, I hope that they loose the "do you know the meaning of insanity?" bit. It was the most overused speech driver in politics and media outlets over the last year. The rest was great, but the reference just makes me roll my eyes. Especially when he (the bad guy in the trailer) does it x2.
Never really liked COD. It was a MOH "me too" series that finally found its own formula that attracted its own dedicated audience. BF and particularly BFBC captured a better overall (and more varied) gaming experince. For campaigns, Battlefield's characters are far, far more plausable than the COD MW macho combo burritto with extra gung-ho cheese (any active or vet should know what I'm talking about). MOH is mostly bs and it tries so hard at being bad ass that it just hurts ...

I just saw that comment about no one using the Phone's Full Power.... I hope that is sarcasm as currently many iOS developers have no problem using "full power". Trust me, more than enough people are going in limited to the constraints of the iOS and iDevice hardware specs. iPhone 5, no matter the rumored specs, has anyone bitting their nails over its overwhelming power.

That is one thing I hate about working with iOS and the smaller iPhone/iPod resolutions. Having to conform to the screen size for control input is a real pain in the ass. Also the fact that precision control is pretty much killed with using this style interface, which also limits the range of control you could have with sticks or buttons.
I truly wish to see something like the prank-concept iBone come to reality (although not that type of design). ...

1 and 2 rocked. I don't think I ever bothered trying to actually win the race by completing laps rather than destroying the competition. Never had so much fun driving a mammoth sized dump truck.

I did not buy the game. I have played it. I have not played through it. I've been waiting and following DNF for a long time. I've seen and experienced enough of the game to draw my own conclusions.
I don't doubt that the game will have its "Duke" moments, but they are not worth 60 or 50 dollars.
