as awesome as a slim version is to me, only thing is that you dont even own the launch version of the console yet. that already looks awesome as it is. whats the motivation to wait for a slim version when you dont even have the upcoming? they're both "new" at this point.

if anything, buying launch is sort of an advantage on price if you really think about it. when you buy launch, you KNOW the price of that console isnt going down anytime soon. i wouldnt be upset if a price of a console went down $100, if its over a year after i purchased the product. on the other hand, NOT buying at launch, and instead buying a few months later would leave me with a feeling of regret that i didnt wait up for the possible price drop. ...
do you even game? 6gb (while being a lot for a shite cod title) is pretty standard in todays current gen games. furthermore, 6gb is not an unusual amount of ram to begin with. you could find that much in a lot of walmart desktops.

Maybe it's just because playstation usually dominates forums, but I can't help but feel like there really isn't as much buzz for the xbone. Even in America (xbox's homeland) I don't hear the hype for the Xbox one from friends or anything. The only place I've ever seen raw, rabid xbone hype is from GameStop staff lol. Otherwise, I don't know a single person with that stuff on reserve.

dont know if im the only one out there, but id kill for these controllers to come in a fully enclosed box, with a sexy graphic of the product printed on the box itself. think "iphone style packaging". even the old ps2/ps3 original style packaging looked great.

playstation 3 game case were the perfect size. i cant really tell, but i really hope they arent DVD sized cases. looks really great otherwise.
i think that even though the core userbase is used to the way it is now, a change in stick placement wouldnt have been anything anyone needs to get used to. the xbox controllers placement is very natural, but i could honestly go either way on stick placement. i trust sony to make a great controller just as they have for many years now. the fact that they actually passed up on a design similar to the 360s means that at least they believe in their current design choices.

speak for yourself brah. theres enough first person shooters this launch to last me all gen. really couldnt care less about titan fall, which is eventually going to make its way to the ps4 regardless.
the ps+ deal is PREMO stuff. the rest of the list i honestly couldnt care less about. the only thing i really have my eye on from gamestop is a steal on the "fat models" of current gen hardware. i would easily pick up a fat 360 for $50-60. PS3 for about $70 maybe.
unless they price current gen hardware at dirt cheap, my focus is all next-gen with the ps4
