No, look at it this way PS3 is more reliable also it has a Blu-ray which won the format wars out right.
Looks to me I & multi millions of other PS3 owners made the right choice from the start.
Bots who went with the crapbox got RROD. They also got the choice of buying into HD DVD, which lost the format war and is obsolete.

My UK launch 60Gb PS3(upgraded to 320Gb) is still going like it was bought yesterday. Best £425 I've spent for ages.

Difference is that the PS3 Slim is new Hardware with a low price tag to boot. Crapbox Elite is old hardware, does'nt matter whether M$ drop price. PS3 Slim is the hot product still in many peoples eyes.
Unless M$ release a redesigned Crapbox Elite that works(Which I doubt M$ could pull off). M$ will have a hard time competing with old hardware on just a price cut.

This springs to mind:
Blu-ray not needed for games = Bots - DVD9 will do(So not true).
Blu-ray movies not needed = Bots - Netflix will do(even thou it inferior in every way).
9.1 not needed = Bots - 5.1 is enough(only cos the crapbox can't do any better)
The option is nice, shame bots won't get it any time soon. Lack of storage space on DVD9 won't allow it. 360 is showing it's true limitations.

seriously this jealous bot needs to do is research better. Failed to add that there are features added to Slim model like better HD audio support and Bravia Sync.
When Japan jump onboard the PS3 Slim you will see the gap get eaten away fast. The Jap market has'nt even got into it's stride yet. PS3 Slim will set the Japan market a light. 360 does'nt have a Jap market so it's going to loose big style. Look at it this way there is no compition when it comes to a another HD console in Japan, so Sony have the market for the taking. Over the coming 6-10 months the 6 million lead will be be eaten away.

Your missing the point, compression is only required when you can't fit stuff in the limited DVD9 space in the first place.
Blu-ray offers you more space, so compression is avoided.
HD lossless audio says hi, sound as it intended to be(nothing removed).

The day 360 can pull off a game that does'nt have to be gimped cos of space limitations. Will never happen. Thats why uncompressed Hi Def Audio is never an option with 360.
Where as PS3 cos of Blu-ray gives devs more freedom to add Uncompressed Hi Def Audio, superior graphics, huge free roaming world, superior streaming capablitys.
