Never had one problem with any firmware. I'm running v3.0 on a UK launch PS3 60Gb(upgraded to 320Gb), everything runs fine.

Beta's are work in progress, they are not the finished game. So ofcourse beta code has bugs, thats why your asked to report any problems to the devs. That way the devs can improve things before full release.

4 years on the market and RROD has'nt been fixed.
Only thing I dislike in FW v3.0 is the removal of the PS3 logo, U can't now tell if games are loading without looking at the hard drive light. Sony should have just redesigned the logo, not removed it.
