PS3 owners arn't bothered about storage, reason it can easily be upgraded cheaply. Same can't be said for Crapbox.
Blu-ray loading times are compareable to DVD. Ther are pros and cons to both formats.
BTW whats the point of Sony having a Hard drive in all PS3 SKUs if not to get used.

BTW my launch UK PS3 60Gb Phat(upgraded to 320Gb), still works fine. Not had a problem with it(coming up to 3 year old in March).
