Not all 70 million ps users like Japanese rpgs. How did call of duty sell on switch ? Nintendo has always led in Japan. They close schools when certain games launch on nintendo hand held in Japan. Get some perspective.

I agree and if Sony holds out till 2020 for ps5 and make it bc with upscaled games as launch titles like the last of us 2, death stranding, gt sport complete ed, i honestly believe their momentum will carry on and they can transition very easily.
I have seen less developed characters and world's for a full price game that sold better. So it is a shame as it could have been a franchises if handled better.
It is a fantastic deal I would never argue with that. Will it remain the same way forever ? Halo 6 for £9.99 ? How would physical be relevant ? How would they recoup development costs ? It's great on the surface, is this how it will work or more like a day 1 limited demo.

In small baby steps yes I agree it is coming in years down the road. Like it or not. More profit less over head is the ideal situation here. At the moment game pass is great and attractive but psn didn't stay free for long did it. Things change and progress. They have monthly check in drm already now
I find it a strange comment when people say sea of thieves looks trash I would never buy it but for £10 I will try it.
If the game doesn't appeal surely price is not the issue. I don't like spicey food and if it's on sale everywhere for £1 Im still not buying it.

It is great in the short term but when it's digital only and your choices dissappear then what ? Your not thinking long term. This is just to get you on board and make everyone feel like it's the norm. Then major change doesn't feel so major. Then they do what ever they want.
This is just the test phase before games as a service is 100% and they introduce full game streaming. 1 charge for xb live then subs for game pass. Ms will clean up but they can be subtle and increase price and change policy bit by bit so you don't notice.

Once you buy into it they are halfway there to make your accept bigger changes that if you heard from the start you would go nuts over. It's about doing things bit by bit. Make you happy until you keep saying well it's gone up in price but it's not that bad and so on. Until there is almost no choice in how you pay for games and no choice in price once it's digital only.
