Euro gamer has its favourites after they were allowed to break the x specs and announcements before anyone else. Even before that I didn't really like their journalism style.

Not really aa it's subjective anyway. I never buy a game from a review. A holiday or hotel may influence me but not a game aa people have different ideas of what they expect.

You mean to tell me people are spending £60 on a game with an empty world rather than try it out for £9 and then choose? BS even if you love it yout can pay for 5 months for less cash then move on or pick it up used. I know plenty who canceled their pre order of the game, once announced on game pass.

With no depth meaning or real purpose is it a stretch to assume the game may loose users quite rapidly? Glad people didn't all spend full price on this otherwise I could see lots of refund requests
Played it last night and it feels souless with no purpose or real meaning.

Glad it was only on game pass if my mate had paid full price it would be going back for a full refund

Ms made billions last year with little 1st party support and what they realise is they can profit without much risk, investment in new ip or any thing else time consuming. They can profit from service and microtranactions, xb will be an app only in the future as it makes business sense. The fans don't come into the process. With the 720p machine due to outsell MS in 2018 ms don't care as they are making the money without the risk and investment.

Me too thrash, it kind of lost its interest by the time it came out on ps4 other titles were grabbing my attention by then but this does make me want to go back to it now
I can't stand all this bs about generations. Its very simple go to a shop and look what consoles are on sale. What ever technical gen nintendo is taking market share and sales from both xbox and ps4. It makes no difference what gen and honestly actually makes it worse that the most powerful console is loosing to a 720p console.

I agree, people are getting ahead of themselves. Dev kits still means years of development. Plenty of 1st party will be upscaled for ps5 launch in my view. Death stranding, ghosts of tsusuma etc. Horizon 2 will be a launch game.
2020 makes sense as 2019 can still be big for ps4 software
Just because you have a dev kit doesn't mean your game suddenly creates itself. Still years to develop. Sony will have its own event like ps4 reveal I'm 2019 with 2020 release. This year is full of top tier software no need to take any hype away from 2018.
Devs still need a few years mim to have a game ready. I don't see why Sony can't jump from a pro version of a new game to a ps5 upgraded version. You could see ghost of tsusuma on ps4 and ps5 same for last of us 2. Even death stranding. No need to announce this year as ps4 has too many heavy hitters.
