Change direction and NOT implement pay to play to survive.
There was a real scramble when a new cod came out and all my friends would be there playing a lot. Now no one I have on my friends list plays anymore.
Lets hope any new games in the series are worth it and not just a big dead (cod) fish

@Acquiescence I agree Pyramid is linked to James but also to the Hill and that's where maybe a shadow of him would be acceptable or some of the sounds associated with him or even find his knife or something?
But definately not the knifeman himself.
Better still (and yes i said this before) give James a whole new game after he has escaped to a new life with a new and happy family and bring them...
In the Blue Creek appartments, James hid in the cupboard for the cut scene and every one who played it prayed pyramid wouldn't open the cupboard and rape James!

1-3 were really the pinnacle of the series.
2 was the best of all for the atmosphere/music/story and characters.
4 was OK but I wouldn't really class it as a silent hill, more a distant cousin.
Homecoming was the derailment of the series not very interesting and not very scary either shock wise or phsychologically. (Although seems popular with the newer players to the series)

want a load of short games just because they are good.
Most of the games I really love are the mid/long length games that can immerse you for days and you always want to come back to to see what's next or play some multi.
Don't get me wrong short games can be really sweet but are over too quickly and not something I'd generally replay too often.

That is dangerous talk if your subscription is (x) dollars/pounds a month over a fixed year contract it would quite realistically be more than the game and expansions would be worth.
Plus they would probably release expansions just as customer interest starts to wain and a new monthly/quarterly/annual sub is due?
No I don't like this idea at all.
I don't know why it has nothing to do with Halo because if paying for online cod happens and people do subscribe (I sure as hell won't) then as sure as a ferret fits down a drainpipe, EVERY other Dev will follow.
So unless you are very rich you will have to make some serious choices if this happens.

I am very cinical about any motion controller but this has potential along with the "Heroes on the move" game. Will just have to wait and see.
