The little of Sony's own games that they shown were lackluster. From the Splatoon rip off, hilarious multiple cat games, a movie trailer, to the extra DLC looking Spider-Man 2.
There were some missteps with the MS. Hellblade 2 was a terrible tailer to show. That and another small nit pick that I can't recall. But other than that the show was one of their best.

Too funny, NMS did NOT do it, it took years and multiple patches to reach where they are now.
Let's not forget how NMS released with no content, fake promises and a ton of crash and gameplay issues on release.

The game is not a multiplayer, shooter, it's a single player RPG, the one thing every one, at least on this site is only cares about. The concern trolling is out of control....
You guys seriously deal with strawman arguments, a developer making a creative decision doesn't take away the specs on the Xbox Series still being more powerful than the competition.
There isn't a single sony game that is on this level, fact.
If Sony can go out of it's comfort zone and start doing these types of games with a high frame rate then we can start comparing apples to apples.
It's not a first person shooter though. It's a single player RPG with shooting and fighting mechanics that can be played in first person and third person.
What other game is on this scale, with this amount of customization that is 60fps. And before anyone says NMS, that game was delivered undercooked and no where near how this game looks.
That's a shame that "how many frames" is going to be a talking point used to downplay a game. It's a massive single player game with a focus on exploration, I doubt having it be 60fps is a huge deal.
Crazy to even think how the roles have been reversed in the gaming industry with MS now having more first party studios and putting out more single player games.

I am really curious about this game. Loved the fantasy style brawler type action. Would love to see if there are any more RPG elements in the game
Or maybe this what a lot of Xbox fans were asking for, Persona to come to Xbox.
That and just simply MS has a good relationship with Sega.
This game absolutely blew me away. This is what a new generation of games should be trying to accomplish in terms of scope and depth. From all they showed it almost looked too good to be true.
Crazy that MS is putting something like this on GP first day. But I imagine they're expecting a lot of new subscribers when this game drops. Either way it will be a win/win for them

Don't know why you would assume that. In game footage means exactly that, all games shown was running from the game. And they showed a bit about how Fable would play or at least how it would. Star Wars on the other hand, not sure how far along that game is for them to have shown anything.

We saw a lot of gameplay from a good amount of games shown. Not sure if you all watched the same show everyone else did.
Glad to finally see something from Playground. And this was actually a very funny trailer with a neat twist at the end. Hoping to see more for this game soon.
Considering Pillars of Eternity wasn't an eye pleaser, not sure why people were expecting this one to be some graphically artistic masterpiece.
The best part about this show is the level of quality games coming to Game Pass. Very impressive.
Was hoping to see something from The Coalition or State of Decay 3, but MS definitely showed more than enough from the studios they purchased.

I never saw the appeal for Hellblade, and this trailer did absolutely nothing for me.
The best part is Sony is forcing you to pay for the game. Let's not get things confused with what gamers are willing to pay for and what they are forced to because of Sony is not willing to give any other option.
You also seem confused about equating how many subscribers something has to the service still being the best available compared to the competition.
