This does seem a little on the odd side - this feature is already on NHL 08 as a ticker that goes along the bottom of the screen...and like was stated above this feature doesn't really take all that much time to program. Well if it wasn't for Blu-ray my PS3 would be collecting dust - Ironman comes out on BR in Sept and now The Dark Knight in Dec. This is awsome as i loved both movies...i am glad i waited for the PS3 price to come down for the 40 gig. Still waiting for LBP and Killzone but in the meantime i will be enjoying Ironman and The Dark Night before i open any gifts on Christmas...Good time to own a BR player.

well if the PS3 wasn't 5 million steps behind - i am sure they would be close enough to actually kick the a$$ of MS...but they will need to do some running in order to get into that position...
I have to say i am a little surprised with this...i would have thought the game was already in development - now a couple of years later we are seeing postings for positions on developing for this game...i am very excited to see and experience this game but it looks like i may have to hold of for late 09 to 2010. This really sucks and i hope i'm wrong i really really do.
Hmmm - you make a lot of points there - i wouldn't totally agree with you on some but i would totally agree with you on others...however i am suprised that the reviews didn't point out all these flaws and still Gears got better rating than RFOM - maybe there was more positives in Gears than Negatives...something that you have chosen not to focus on. I have played both and i would have to disagree and say I felt Gears was the All Around better experience. But that's just my opinion.
Well i can understand your reasoning about the developers - i have to tell ya it really doesn't matter how they are or their attitudes or what they say...i play the games that they develop - i don't play the developers. So let the games do the talking and the developers do the squawking.

I have to disagree with the points that Hip-Hop-Gamer seems to make in order to justify his views on why he feels (remember they are his opinions and he is entitled to them) RFOM 2 may be the better game - now he doesn't really say it will be a better game but he does come across that he seemed a bit insulted that Cliffy said what he said about RFOM2. I did get the impression that HHG is a bit biased and is pro Sony.

wow that is quite a detailed list and pretty much why i purchased a PS3...However then my next question to you would be..."being a new gamer i would have no reason for backwards compatibility since this is my first console and only look to play "next-gen" games - i also have a computer so i don't need a brower and my comp is right next to my HDTV so i would rather just hard wire it to the router and since also a hard wired connection will always be a fast...

I think cviper was referring to the hype that surrounded Lair...lets hope the hype doesn't ruin the game as i think the game is looking very well...however i haven't played the game yet so i can't say it looks fun to play...so far its great eye candy. I noticed a "keypad" for the controller....is this anything like the keypad that was out last year for the 360 controller? If so i am curious to see how this hooks up to the PS3 controller.
