I agree with you Juuken. It was the GT series that also got me into the driving games - i didn't use the term driving "sim" games as back then it was the only "sim" game i was aware of on a console and the best IMHO on the console market at the time. However the GT series have not changed in the last 5 games and thus are no longer considered a true "sim" when compared to games like Forza 1 & 2.

Actualy GT series including so far GT5 is nothing close to a sim as forza 2 is. Forza you can actualy blow your tranny. If certain parts on your car is damaged it will have an impact at how well your cars handles on the road. In the GT series there is no damage - not even scratches. If you don't take damage then your car will always perform at its peak regardless of what you hit - or if you keep your RPM's over reved in the red for a long period of time.

Also LOTR trilogy looks WAY better than war of the worlds. And it cost less per movie. Well what exactly are we referring to when saying which company is bigger - If we are talking about a companies overall worth - MS is much bigger than Sony - if we are talking about products and departments and landspace that companies take up then yes Sony is bigger.

So you are assuming AFTER the current price of the PS3 reaches enough units sold that it is turing a profit and THEN they lower the price - well i agree with that but again the situation with them with having great losses like the article states - they may not be able to do so because of the current times.
Not true. If the console is losing money now - a price cut would increase the amount of money loss per console. If the PS3 continues to sell less than average year after year - it will take awhile to gain profits on the console - atleast until the manufacturing of the console comes down it self.
I think that is what the DROID was referring to - that since the PS3 is not turning over a profit yet, a price cut would induce a higher loss per manufacturing of the console.

I have played the GT series since the very first one on the PS1. I grew up as a young kid playing the GT series. I have played both to the bone and although GT5 does look better graphically - it is not as good of a "sim" as Forza2 is. Each car in Forza 2 has its own driving attributes.
