I agree, sales wise the 360 and PS3 are selling pretty much on par with each other. Games wise there is plenty coming out on both systems each year so there is plenty to play on both platforms, and IF and i mean IF Sony releases a SLIM and GT5 and drops the price of the PS3....there will definitely be a very large spike in PS3 sales this holiday season. There is no doubt about it. Heck i told you TallTony that i will jump right on that PS3 slim if its true and released this holiday season ...
Well i could be wrong here but didn't MS say that the games that will be available will be older titles...ones that you would find pretty cheap in the bargin bins? So that may be why MS is charging such a low price for these downloads, or that since no actual Physical storage device will be needed (DVD9's), its cheaper for MS and developers to do it this way. But i think its because the titles available are older titles.

"IF" there is a price drop to $300 the PS3 will do just fine this holiday season. "If" the 360 eliminates the Pro SKU and replaces it with the Elite at $249 and the Arcade SKU at $150, i think the 360 will still outsell the PS3 by a "slim" margin.

I believe 1 disc is better than 4. But i also believe that mandatory installs and installs between chapters (MGS4) are by far worse than having 4 discs and having to change the disc every 10 hours. I own both and i have a brain and i agree that the 360 is a better "Gaming" device. However my PS3 is a better total entertainment device since i use it for gaming AND movie wathcing.

I am courious here...i thought that the game was first built on the PS3 and then will be built on the 360 since Japan will have the game released this year and then some time later in the North America along side the 360?

As a side note...In gaming comparisons, it is usually the PS3 that looks "washed out" and the 360 "vibrant in colour"...looking at the pictures...the second, less detailed pic looks "washed out" while the first pic is clearly more "vibrant in colour".
I think the second is a PS3 build and the first is a 360 build just simply going by past game reviews and seeing the differences between them.

That site shows 16 wins for the 360 and 7 wins for the PS3 and this is only a small sample of Mulitplat games.

There was another site that has been doing these comparisons for much longer and has a much larger list that shows 360 vs PS3 but i forget the name....
I don't see GT5 on that list. I would have thought with all the speculation about it being released in late 09 that they would have had it on hand there being that it is "the biggest european gaming event".
