No only that, but's about the numbers. A really good Mario Game appears only once per generation, except the NES. Mario world, 64, Sunshine, Galaxy... and, well, galaxy 2, that feels like Galaxy 1.5.
to f789790: Yes, they're 20 years old. But count'em, and tell me if old means "too much". Uncharted grow up at the pace of 1 game every 1,3 years, aprox. COD, 1 game per year. And, btw, just because those games were created when you was a child, doesnt mea...
I agree with saving the whales. Even without boycotting Crytech. Feeling ecologist today XP.
OMG, it's a GAME KILLER!!!!!!!!!!! I was planning on playing it, since it looks like it's good and fun to play, but that texture has ruined my shop. I'll never buy anything made by that company again.
...I mean, seriously? People get really bored these days. And they post it in the internet, in several ways.
This wont make me buy a 3D TV. I dont have the money. But I'll start to save it to buy it, that's for sure.
There's always a day in the week when some person, needed for click in his website, takes a list of great games, say the things he doesn't like in less than three lines, put in the title "I think those games are bad" or something like that, and then, it comes to N4G.
And then, we click. We always click...
ah, well, whatever. Less chat, more games. I wanna see Nintendo's AR and Sony's AR, not just technical demos and samples, but games that are able to entertain me.
That day, I'll... no, I'll not choose. 3DS will have Layton, and NGP probably not, so I'll buy the 3DS. Because we're here to play games, not to sell companies, am I right?
I hope Level 5 release Ushiro for the NGP... that day, I'll buy an NGP.
"The Wii mote was lame. Nintendo barely did anything with it" - Just outsell MS & Sony, and force them to create PS Move, and kinect.
"The Move is what the Wii-mote should have been". Apart from the technical demo a la wii sports, I see the move controller doing absolutely nothing.
"Sony decides to do 3D gaming and it's a dumb fad" Because they dont give you the 3D television. Pretty expensive if you ask me. And remember...
Kids under the age of, lets say, 12, actually does. The problem is what you understand for "kids". Remember that theses days, kids are asking their parent for a console since they have 5 year, more o less. And no, you cant put COD to them.
Black Ops, for example, has a "M" rating, meaning that is suited for ,ejem, kids over 21 years.
When you have, "kids" you'll understand. Maybe.
Yes, but it seems like Sony wont give a penny for selling'em. Same with the PS3, I agree with LBP, but the others passed under the radar. Plus, kids doesnt buy their own games, parents do. And trust me, they'll prefer to buy a 3DS for their kids with a Mario or Pokemon game, than a NGP with lot of techology that they dont care to know about, and in that shows COD, GOW, Killzone.
It's the same as the Wii, here on N4G it looks like the Wii is sh!t, but's selling...
That guy doesnt have kids, that's for sure. When he got'em, I'll laugh when he try to show'em COD and Killzone and see how bored they got with those games.
Because, Nintendo is great as always have been, the ones changing are us, gamers, and dumb people cant see they grew up. At the point they talk like a 5 years old kid, without thinking that there are gamers under the age of, well, twenty.
Meh, Nintendo is making their future "grew up&q...
Agree. It's just that lately, all I can hear is "Crisys 2" "BF3" "Killzone 3" "Bulletstorm" "Black Ops". Later years, there were a lot of variety, like Assassin's Creed, Dante's Inferno, Dark Siders, GOW, LBP... and I can continue. But -and you can see it in N4g- those games dont get attention anymore. Not even the great Red Dead Redemption, or the hyped GT5. And PS Move. They're out of the radar. Completely.
I...
This, ICO Colletion and The Last Guardian. And Catherine. Finally, no FPS. Looks like it's time to buy a PS3.
You, sir, has discovered the hot water.
I also think that there's more to games that include button secuences between FMV.
Oh please, not this sh!t again. Shhoter games are starting to become the new wii's party games, where every company wants to jump just to make a quick buck with generic zombie enemies, generic gameplay, and generic multiplayer. The last thing I wanna know it's that a RE game have regenerative health. And I'm getting sick of it.
Please companies, make adventure games, RPG's, puzzles. Give us a freaking break.
derp?
I'll just wait for more titles to come. The line up isn't weak, it's just not my genre. Cant wait for layton and some RPGs
I ont think the problem is wit the technology itself. If gimmicks would not exist in this generation, and the three consoles were all-god-mighty-powerful, we could have hyper realistic graphics, the market would be probably full of brown and gray games, and everyone would be saying "we need something new, graphics alone doesnt make the game fun, high-tech isn't the answer"
The question is, have developers used the "gimmick" technology right? It's n...
Why? Because it's a wii game? Or because of the game? So, if Mario galaxy 1 and 2 were GOTY, still were bad games, because they were on wii?
I wont say Killzone 3 is a bad game. But your argument "because is a Wii game" makes you look like a (.)
Stop buying brands and start buying games, kiddo.
@ pcz
Let me see i I understand your scale:
-7 - Games?
8 - Games you want
9 - Games you want more
10 - Fanboy paradise. Maybe.
I found interesting in the list you made, that the good sequels are, at most, 3 games (killzone). Others are just second parts, at least by now. In the other hand, games that have sequels every year, are starting to get... annoying, to say the least.
