Yours is more like a scale of power in consoles. No bad by any means, just giving it the proper name. And yes, I think the same. When the PS4 and xboxwhatever launchs, the Wii2 will be outdated. But Nintendo knows how to give us surprises... like selling a low power console like hotcackes for 5 years.
I just hope this beast-monster-power or whatever will not mean that all the "good games" will use that power to show us just war games on brown and grayscale, like the power and HD of this gen is doing.
I love the Wii for it's graphics, it looked like the creators of wii exclusive games had to think to make some design with colors to use the low power of the console, and gave us Muramasa, NMH, Madworld (eemm... well... not colorful but still original), Fragile, ...

btw, the question should be "is the 3DS a good option at this moment?" And... no, my personal, individual answer is no. Just for the games, I dont see anything I really wanna play. Waiting for the launch of layton... just hoping they dont "casually forget" to translate Layton 4 for the DS :(
You right, but, since the 3DS is able to run DS games, the connection should work... I suposse Nintendo can use the same tech to connect the 3DS and it's next console. But anyway, we're just missing Guitar Hero and Pokémon here.
And for the NGP; you're right, timing is essencial for the NGP. I believe they're aiming for a christmas release, if not, we'll be seeing "low" sales like the 3DS, just for being out of a high selling season.

First things first: I will not talk about NGP "beating" the 3DS or viceversa. Because it's completely stupid, it's not like the 3DS will get away of the universe and Nintendo will close their offices for the NGP selling more, if that's the scenario. So, I'm tired of this kind of discussions. If you are a fanboy of any company, just STFU, because no words will change your mind, but you can, at least, let others play.

Well, that's good. We had the problem where the game doesnt do justice to the trailer. And then, it's worst. A lot.
I never liked MK. Not from the SNES, not the 3D ones... nothing, no one. I always felt'em, heavy, slow, the power commandos were weird, and I really hate having to use a button to block, I'm used to step back to do it.
But I played the demo of this MK, and loved it. It feels fast, lighter, funny, the combos are easy to pull out (I'm more a GG / Blazblue player, so you'll understand my reference point), and the graphics are pretty good.
