A week ago IGN published an article trying to cool down the console wars, and saying it's stupid to be a fanboy of any system. Now then publish this article.

The Show is so much better than the 2K series in every aspect. RTTS is amazing, and this year they are adding HR Derby and catcher mode for RTTS where you get to call the game and block pitches in the dirt. Count me in.
The PS3 was always priced more than the 360 up until Sept. of last year, and that "it had no games the first year", and that Microsoft had a year head start, I think that's very impressive for Sony. Things are only looking better for them in the future with great exclusives.
I noticed that MLB 09 the show didn't get many nominations for sports game of the year last year. I thought it was fantastic, RTTS is amazing. Some web sites gave Fight Night Round 4 sports game of the year. Fight Night 4 is fun but is no where near as in depth as The Show.
Oh well, I can't wait for this years iteration of The Show it's looking really good.
I might get Bioshock 2, loved the first. Definitely will get Heavy Rain. March will be getting The Show and God of War 3.

I've been gaming for a while, since the days of Atari 2600 and NES, and this is the first collectors edition I'm getting. They really deserve it this game is going to be amazing. I can't wait.
I'm sure Dantes Inferno will be a good game, but I'm confident God of War 3 will kick the living crap out of it. I don't care which game sells more, if you're a PS3 owner you get to play both games, and judging from the demo and past games, God of War 3 will be an epic masterpiece.
I don't own a 360 or a great PC I would definitely pick this up if it was released on the PS3. I felt the same way about Bioshock I was glad when they released it on the PS3, great game.
It does suck waiting but you know what, there are a ton of games to play so I don't mind. I still have games from last year I have not passed. Within the next month I'll be getting Heavy Rain, The Show 10, and of course God of War 3. I just got the collection to play through it again before the madness on March 16.
So HR is doing a disservice to video games because it's trying to accomplish something unique. Imagine if every single game was exactly like Super Mario Bros. and games never branched off to different genres, how would you feel about video games.

The Show franchise is one of the reasons I went with the PS3; I'm a huge baseball fan and The Show is as good as it gets. Road to The Show is outstanding; I'm surprised The Show 09 didn't get nominated for sports game of the year. Oh well, this years game looks great I can't wait.
I purchased it two years ago because I know Sony takes risks like this, that and my favorite baseball game is a Sony exclusive. Sony by far has the biggest variety of exclusives, which caters to different gamers. Everything from platforming, rpg, sports, shooters, racers, whatever the genre may be the PS3 boasts great exclusive games in each category.
It's just my opinion I mean if you have a 360 and shooters are your thing then that's fine, I think generally speaking PS3 own...

I find it funny that some people claim Gears 2 is better than Uncharted 2 because it sold 12 million plus, a lot more than Uncharted 2. If you go by that logic then you must also think the Wii is the greatest console this generation because it has sold more than the 360 and PS3 combined.
Go on metacritic, check which game has the highest average score. Then check how many game of the year nominations Gears of War 2 won compared to Uncharted 2.

I attribute this to a few factors:
A) Sony doesn't market its console and games as much as they should
B) I believe that in general PS3 owners are older than 360 and Wii owners therefore tend to have more responsibility and have less time to game.
C) Sony offers a bigger variety of 1st party games as opposed to the 360 which boasts more popular and well established shooters.
