I believe it! It would be stupid to completely cater to the core audience, look at Gamecube... it was a great core system, yet only managed to sell a little over 20 million consoles. Look at the success of the DS and Wii... All were thanks to casual and core gamers combined but more of it was because of casual gamers. If Nintendo can keep the casual and try to capitalize on the core, it will be a great system for all. Its going to take time and games from both sides for this to happen and I r...
Damn... Nintendo, take notes because this is how you make a damn fine add-on! Extra pad, sleek and comfortable design, and most importantly, extra juice; 3 extra hours is quite worth it...
Come on Battlefield, and a Criterion racing game! I could do without the rest from EA. Oh, and can't forget about a Mirrors Edge sequel, that would be awesome as well... Honestly Speaking, it's great that Nintendo has EA backing them or else it might turn out like Dreamcast; I'm talking about the fact that it had no EA support with the likes of Madden because of Sega's 2K sports, remember that??? When PS2 came out, EA showed a debut of Madden, it was a done deal for them!
Greg Miller is the biggest PS3 nut EVER, he's no 360 fanboy; if anything, he's a PS3 fanboy, but a realist!
It would have been nicer in a sense on Vita, in terms of graphics, but I understand why he chose the 3DS. I love the 3D effect on the 3DS, it gives you depth perception that works great on most titles. If the 3D helps the 2.5 veiw then hey let it be. I'm sure that a Vita version of their own will hit one day, for now here's hoping the 3DS version will be great. Check out the 27 minute demo. It really looks promising... Metroidvania with LOS combat! Seems like a win for me.
@bothebo; "So you admit you haven't played it." Um, where the hell did I say I didn't play the Vita? You obviously came to that conclusion yourself, because your fanboy heart doesn't want to believe that someone who has extensively played the Vita, doesn't want it! You damn right I don't, not at this moment! That's not to say that I won't in the future.
DivineAssult is my cousin douche-bag and yes I've played his Vita, and have actual...
@Bothebo: Fanboy should learn to shut up when adults speak!
Every time Tommy to the rescue! Shut up because you own a 3DS too and you know what I say is true! Vita is priced good for what it has for guts, but its clearly lacking, "must own software", and you know it! It's either they drop the price now or bring more software. No need for saving up because if software were there, people would buy regardless of price, including myself! If say GOW, or any Naughty Dog game, or AC, or Souls Sacrifice were out already, I would buy it in a hear...
I find it ironic that the Vita is struggling the way it has while the 3DS is booming. The Vita did have the best launch to date, and I'm sure that once people finish Uncharted they would get something else. The 3DS had a terrible launch line-up, dropped the price, and put out two or three heavy hitters and bam, approx. 20 mill. strong... Those that keep saying that the Vita doesn't need a price drop are nuts! Games will come but, as we seen last week in Japan, they only do so much! Pe...
People don't realize that if Nintendo added a second stick, the first model would become obsolete! If that happens, people would abandon them in a heartbeat. Seriously think about it, if a game like COD was in development for a 3DS XL, with to circle pads instead of one, the game would only be compatible with the one with two circle pads.
They just announced that a CPP XL is being designed for the XL. I know what you think, but it makes sense...
Looks like Nintendo dominated this week! Persona is a great game but only helped Vita for a week...
I don't doubt this, Shin'en usually knows how to push Nintendo's hardware and have really made some spectacular games on Nintendo systems. It's too bad that most of their games never sell that well in the US... Nano Assault was a beautiful looking 3DS titles that even looked as good as a current gen space-shooter...
You've been saying this for four or five years now, get real!
LMAO OMG I was thinking the same thing! If anything they should try something like FFXII or even something along the lines of Grandia 2 or 3. I don't really like MMO style fighting but even Xenoblade Chronicles had an excellent fighting system, and that was on the Wii; maybe something like that.
Careful now, don't step on the bullshit... I could see the same but worse, no, I don't think so my friend...
This is their summery; "A sum up:
- The screens are HUUUGE!
- DS games will get a "third life" on the bigger screen.
- The 3D effect is easier on the eye and nicer to the look.
- The technology behind the 3D might have been improved on the XL model. (To confirm)
- They think there's some kind of "filter" at works here because the pixels appear "rounded."
- "The XL is so much more comfortable to hold th...
People are so dumb to believe that prices are going to be $100 any time soon!
Wow, after seeing the video it looked smooth, thin, big, bright and better than I expected; plus it didn't seem like it had terrible jaggies like I thought it was. In fact it looked the same, just bigger which is great news. I might pick one up!
Nobody mentioned the fact that, while yes its bigger with the same resolution, the 3D effect will probably look a whole lot better. I personally will wait till I hear of a trade in bonus for the 3DS before I make the jump to an XL, if I do...
Not the one I was waiting for, but definitely the one I'm going to get! I have read that because of the bigger screen the 3D effect is way better and DS games look a whole lot better as well. Plus they are already working on a CPP. I was also told that the system itself isn't that much bigger, its more the screen size; to be accurate its 90% bigger and it looks nice even without the resolution bump.
