This has to do with APPS. If you have an X360 and smart glass now, you will get a basic understanding.
Basically, whatever your doing on your Surface can be immediately transferred to the TV, and vice-versa. I assume this includes tablet games.
Its useful because if your doing something on your Surface, and want it moved to the big screen/big sound system, its fast and intuitive.

Couldn't agree more. Its been so long that this didn't even occur to me. Skate is a gorgeous game, no doubt a nexr-gen iteration could be really cool.
Not trying to hate but... does anyone else see most of that being Indie games? When they give numbers like that, I know better than to get my hopes up.
Though, they will undoubtedly have something cool to show us, so I'm excited. Its like we're getting a second E3.
I'm looking forward to the X1 as well, Kinect included. Its a whole new playing field with guaranteed support and majorly improved hardware.
I wouldn't complain if they threw in a headset and dropped the price by 50 bucks... but at this point it doesn't make much of a difference to me.
I guarantee you will never see an SKU sans Kinect.

I love achievements, through and through. I only just topped 20K... and I'm damn proud of it.
I don't measure my acheivements against other people. If I did, I might immediately fall victim to the vestiges of crippling depression. For me, achievements are fun to earn, and in some cases I will take a look to see what I'm missing or if there is any low-hanging fruit that I can knock off...
Oh man that would be friggen shweet. If thats the case, I'm even happier about my new RT!!! Not that smartglass integration wasn't reason enough. It already works famously with my X360...
Great for when I'm sitting on the padio, listening to music through my TV speakers. I can just press a button and have a song/playlist come through the TV. Or movie... show... browser... its dope.

One of the ideas of matchmaking is to set you up with the most compatible server.
Since the start of this generation, and even since the introduction of Matchmaking with Halo 2 on the original Xbox, I have noticed minimal lag. Matchmaking seems to work great for me.
now, if my brother is playing PC games, and my sister is watching Netflix, and my dad is hammering away on his laptop... things get a little bit wonky.

I've checked it out, I even bought a couple. The problem with the Xbox indie library is that its cluttered with utter garbage.
The only indie titles I bother to get, if any, are the ambiance apps.
hopefully the XB1 has a better quality filter, or a rating system, or something along those lines.

I don't get how anyone can say "not good enough" at leaked information. Haven't we all learned yet that things are constantly changing in the pre-launch window?
No kidding. How anyone can compare the two is ridiculous. Apples and oranges. Microsoft's proprietary multi-billion dollar cloud infrastructure vs. Sony's acquisition of a 500million dollar game-streaming service.
