I'm on 360, but I noticed the same thing. Although, last night was my first time actually getting into a game... which was pretty cool.
The problem I'm seeing is at any point when you try to connect to another persons game/job. I can easily do a private game... I can sometimes host a job successfully... but joining other peoples jobs/servers is almost impossible.
It would be nice if I could host a public game of freemode.
As much as I'd like to believe that, it doesn't make any sense.

What we actually want to know is if 4K will ever be possible for graphically advanced and large-scope AAA titles. "Up to developers" might as well mean "for indie devs/lower fidelity games".

I think VR is way over-hyped at this point. It's cool... yes. But it's still not practical. Everyone has a TV, everyone has a monitor... nobody has a headset.
On top of that, I've heard mixed reviews as far as how realistic they feel, how disorienting they are, how they work with/without glasses. Games that work well with them seem to be driving/flight simulators and the like.

Like the first Dying Light demo. My god, it was like every tree was stuck in it's own private hurricane. Really brought me out of what was otherwise a visually stunning demo.
Too much of anything is never good. Too much wind effects. Too much lens flare. I think BF4, from what I've seen, does wind really well.
