A game is certainly a game. But I'm not buying souped up next-gen hardware to play sidescrollers/platformers. I'm buying these consoles primarily for the AAA game offerings.
So, a game may be a game, but to suggest that all games are made equal is foolish.
It's a matter of preference. Maybe there are people out there who are primarily interested in Indie games, but I'm not one of them. So, by my standards, no... indie games don't count. No...
Im the opposite. Last gen, I stuck with my Xbox. This gen, I'm getting both right off the bat. Too many good exclusive offerings to miss out on.
@Heavy
Yeah, well... YOUR MOM!
ha. Burn.
What MS wants gamers and developers to know is that they have gone to great lengths and invested in all avenues, from console to input to remote processing to services... and that their console is going to kick fugin arse.
That's all I need to know.
"Get 1080p/60fps without sacrifices or scaling back and we're golden. "
So you mean... graphically perfect games that run at perfect FPS and perfect resolution?
OK buddy.
I have this sycophantic urge to punch you in the face. Can't explain it.
PS4? Overheat? nahhhhhh, IMPOSSIBLE!
I'v got two good reasons: ease of use, and... wait for it... VIDEOGAMES!
Shocking, I know, but some people still play those.
I was happy with the original conception the XBOX as well. If disagreeing with you makes me a fanboy, them I guess that makes the biggest of all fanboy... even though I'm getting both consoles at launch. Go figure!
Wow didn't know anyone else played that. Creeeepy NPCs.
I'm inclined to disagree. The big man himself is of the highest authority.
They canceled Toronto because of Thanks Giving. Needless to say, I went on a killing spree (in GTA)
Its a joke... lol. With all the trolling Kaz & the Sony CEOs do, you think you Sony faithful would be able to stomach a little jibe in your direction.
Evidently not!
The only threat to... ah, fug it.
I used to have a subscription in the original Xbox days. Loved the mag. I read every issue, and I don't remember any "ripping on PS2". I remember lots of reviews, previews, fun articles, and DEMO DISKS!
I probably played the Splinter Cell demo 1000 times, awestruck every time. Those were the days.
I think he's kidding. Plus.... meh. Take it in stride.
"words... are like bullets"
more awesomeness, rox ur sux, better than Jesus. Xbox One.
Xbox One! The very feel of those syllables in my mouth prompts unwholesome yearnings, visions of a brighter tomorrow."
lol, yessss.
41 days, 13 hours, 4 minutes.....

damn it!
Also Warface, which is basically the reason I'm keeping my 360 plugged in. Oh yeah, and GTA :D
although I'm really hoping that they announce Warface for next gen consoles eventually.
Blunt, but echoes my thoughts exactly. I've played plenty of indie games on my 360... and at the end of the day, regardless of how much critical acclaim they get, I can't help but think "well, that was a waste of 10 dollars".
With indie games I usually see no replay value, and often times I can't even get through a single playthrough. Unless something really shines, I'll be sticking with AAA offerings in the coming generation.
