You`re defiantly right. PC gaming is here to stay, because it`s the biggest marked. We will probably see more PC titles be ported to PS3 and 360, because of the rising development cost, and i`m fine with that, as long as the console versions don`t end up being inferior ports with bad framerates.
They bring up issues which Sony needs addressing, if you ask me. That last point, is probably more their own and the rest of the game journalists partly responsible for too. They unfortunately have focused too much one just the PS3 problems, which have had more than it`s competition to be fair, but i do think they have been too one sided, as the media often seems to be. If they are going to be critical, why not be so against all sides ? The same could be said of some people one this site too....
even though the Nintendo conference seemed extremely boring to be honest.
I think the new E3 could very interesting this year too, as the Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo will (hopefully) shower us with new and existing titles to outshine each other. It will be more about the games then, and i can to see them all. Many titles with great potential.
Yeah that`s pretty much what i concluded with too hehe. We really havn`t seen enough of both titles yet. I think only some japanese people would want another dynasty warriors, they seem to love them there ;)
hell even the TGS build did. What i`m most concerned about is it ending up too repetitive, maybe a bit stupid to say with all the animations and killing-moves it seems to have, but i can`t recall hearing about any puzzles or other gameplay elements different from the hack`n slash. Still not a lot of the game is known at this point, so guess it`s a wait and see, until the new E3, i guess. Hey a rime (or two) too.
i think the running of the ground characters seem really stupid, but other than that the game seems fast-paced, and smooth, which is always a good thing.
Yeah hehe that would be something.. maybe some cash too hehe ;)
Yeah that`s cool, that will probably encourage people to give it a go on creating a level of their own. Wonder if they`ll give a prize or something for the "winners" ?
Yeah that sound`s right on the money. Maybe they will add some more modes via the PSN, because i think the game needs it, by the sound of it.
gamesradar says a bit of what was shown, i`ll copy from the article :
"Sony reps went to great lengths to say that the footage was unpolished, that it was not representative of the final game and that it was shown solely to highlight the cool physics effects being done for the game, but it looked stunning regardless. The footage - which we probably won't be able to show you until the E3 expo in July - gave us a few glimpses of grainy first-person action and urban firefight...
funny stuff
I think the most interesting things about Killzone to me is how much it approves on the originals problems and how close they are going to get to the first trailer. Good physics couldn`t hurt either ;)
This made me seriously laugh. The skateboard down the hill was great
so i`ll give this an approved, and remove my own article when your`s get`s approved. I wonder if we ever get to see this technical demonstration ( someone`s bound to leak it probably), or if we have to wait until July for a trailer.
they seems to have screwed up a bit at PSU. Either way, this game does indeed seem interesting. Who knows, maybe it will end up on PS3 eventually too.
because we now can see more of the game and how good it looks ;)
Yeah me too. It`s a bit worrying that such a big title has been changed into an downloadable title with multiplayer only. I guess it shows they were having troubles delivering on all fronts.
It better have a really good multiplayer, and come for a low price too.
Hope they show more at GDC so we can get a better look at how the game is going to be.
We are probably going to have to wait for the new E3 to see Killzone 2 in action again i think.
As for it exceeding the previous one, i don`t think so, but it will be interesting to how close they`ve got. Aside from graphics, i think it`s obvious from the first game, that the focus should be on the gameplay. More variation, a steady fps, and a multiplayer that`s fun, both on-and offline (which the last one wasn`t) would be great this time around.
Any trailer or ...
Yeah the AI is going to be really important in Army of two. If they can nail that, they`re well underway. I thought the comments seemed a bit too much a first, but the macgyver one was funny. If the rest of the scenery is this interactive, it should lead to some great coop. Who knows, maybe EA can pull off a good game for once.
