Agree. It would be great for Microsoft as Epic is a great developer and makes great engines, but they seem to disagree strongly about the mods. Of course this could just be a way of justifying that the PS3 got UT3 first, but i don`t think so. If they found a way out the mods stuff, i guess it could happen, even though i think Epic is a company that likes to be independent.

But i think the article dosn`t specify very well what it means by lightning quick. Lightning quick compared to the 360 version or compared to the scenario if you don`t do the install ?

It`s ok to have the option to do such installs, if they can improve on the 360 version`s download time, but if they don`t do so, i don`t see the point of it. This seems to be a Capcom issue mainly, so i hope they get Sony to help them out on this one.

I just hope 2008 dosn`t become t...

It will be interesting to see how the versions measure up to each other because of it, but i seem to remember the developer said the three version should be pretty similar to each other. Hope they`re right, the game looks epic and it would be great for gamers across all platforms to get an amazing Fallout experience at the same time and with equal quality.

But it also means people will have to start buying a lot bigger HDDs as 40gigs isn`t going to hold many of them. With that said, not that many games has the option yet, so i don`t know if it`s that much of a problem as far.

If a 360 version can have the same (or slightly less) load time without an install, then it`s just up to developers and Sony to figure it out, because i don`t see the point of it, if it dosn`t get a lot better than the 360 versions load time. Until they do fi...

Agreed. You can never go wrong with MacGyver-ish stuff ;)

The game looked a lot better than i expected, which is always cool :)

... to Thompson`s "logic".

The writer of the article sums it up nicely, and i still can see how someone can blame something like this on CS. So , there was nothing wrong with the kids who did it to begin with, but once they started playing the game, all of a sudden they became violent ? Because of one game ? That dosn`t make sense. And how can they say it was because of CS and not countless movies ? How can they just point to one game and say it was the reason behind i...

And actually it was more like this : "Sony's complex PS3 hardware is a 'nice fit' for Ubisoft's ambitious Far Cry 2 - but developers Ubisoft Montreal admit that compromises have been made. "We were somewhat worried by some of the reported high complexity of developing for the PS3", reveals Tech Director Dominic Guay, "but the raw processing power is impressive".

Nice find NoUseMerc. The game looks very good, can`t wait to see it in motion to see how it plays. I really like the art style of the game. Terminator meets God of War kind of style ? (not a bad thing)

Hope your right about the developer`s comments too, but which developer dosn`t say their game is going to be revolutionary ;) A video should give us a better idea if they`ve come close to their goal though :)

And i love the African setting they have in RE5 too, the exorcism stuff could be very interesting indeed. That was my main complaint with RE4, i wish it was scarier, and i think the RE games before it was just that (guess i just could`ve gotten older too hehe).

Hope to see more of it soon.

Just hope Cloud`s in it a lot. The game seems ace, and i guess i`ll have to buy a PSP to get to play it.

Great to hear the framerate is smooth, not sure if it`s true though, as the previous GTA-games wasn`t the smoothest running games around. Still hope they are right.

A little disappointed they didn`t speak more about the targeting system in detail, as i was very interested to hear how that was shaping up, but could be more info in the actual mag preview though ;)

All the other details revealed sounded great. You can`t go wrong with a russian radio station can you ;)

Glad we agree Blizzard`s a great company, it seemed like you were knocking it first. I misunderstood.

I wasn`t talking about how much time they spend on their games though, because that`s not what`s the most important. What matters is what type of games do they put out on the market. If one does look at their releases i do think you`ll find that they have been putting out many games, sometimes several pr. year even for a long time, while still maintaining quality. With that in m...

"We got a lot of complaints that we didn`t include online co-op in Resistance 1, so we didn`t just want to do what was expected of us".

Well, i must say the exceeded my expectations on co-op and all the other stuff about Resistance 2. Hope a in-game video is around the corner.

I disagree. First off WOW hasn`t been around forever, and Blizzard has been like this from the beginning. It`s not without reason many people enjoy their games tremendously, and why people is always wanting another sequel from them also.

What keeps them as far away from EA as possible (even though i have to give EA some credit for delaying Army of Two, think it was vice) is that Blizzard dosn`t rush games out to the market. I can`t think of many other companies that would hold of...

They can hardly make any game run smooth regardless of platform.

Why EA hasn`t learned more from Criterion`s development proses of making the PS3 version first and then port to 360, since they actually own the company, is beyond me. Guess it`s all about the money (and that people keep buying crappy unfortunately) :(

If the PS3 installbase keeps going up one would think they would have to take better care of their products, but being EA i would be more surpried if th...

I would rather have Bizarre do a bond game than Treyarch, but than again i would rather have Treyarch over another EA bond game, so not all is bad i guess.

Hope it`s a FPS though.

Yeah i think so too. With all the great games coming out for the PS3 this year anyway, it`s ok to have something for next year also isn`t it ;)

Can`t wait for some in-game videos of either one of the FF13 games, i want more :)

I think price was the main reason PS3 struggled in 2007 (although if it indeed outsold the 360 last year, i guess i can`t say it was in that much trouble). The machine itself was always great and the game lineup was good, even though 360 had the best lineup last year, but they just priced it too high. I`m glad Sony realized that too, they dropped the price twice last year afterall, and i hope they`ll do the same this year too, because i need a price drop if i`m going to be able to pick up all...

I think Jaffe reminds me of Quentin Tarrantino. Guess it`s the cursing. Well, whatever it is, i like Jaffe and his comments and i think Miyamoto`s comments was more off than Jaffe`s.

I would be fun to have Jaffe on the air the next time a video game is accused of something like Mass Effect. I imagine that would lead to some interesting exchange of language ;)
