The point isn't whether Mario is milked or not, because he is -- like a cow.

To be slightly less pithy, the latest Mario game has received a couple dozen or so perfect ten scores from the age-twenty-something reviewers who make up most gaming sites. When was the last time a Sonic game received a perfect ten score from one of those same age-twenty-something reviewers?...

I don't know why people are complaining over this. If the logic is that Treyarch making Call of Duty somehow ends gaming, then theoretically shouldn't you believe that all those people who left IW and formed their own company will release a game that exceeds Treyarch's offerings and therefore un-ends gaming?

Nintendo of Europe, anyway. We should keep in mind that between Nintendo's various branches, NOA has always been the weak link in terms of actually bringing over/producing/promoting unproven IPs over here.
Having spent the better part of the last decade waiting for Sin and Punishment 2, I almost can't believe that it's going to be out in less than a month from now.

The best was the PS3's midnight launch, which I convinced several friends to come for company and for beating Gamestop's silly one-per-person policy. There was the point that next day where those things were going for five-, six-thousand dollars.
