Oh, good. Now Activision can put High Voltage to shame with a thirteen year-old game instead of a two year-old one.

26 hours. The game's easy enough that at ten hearts a more fitting name for Link would be Tank, so the rewards of ten more hearts, armor that makes you invincible as long as you have ruppees, a source of infinite ruppees, and a wallet to hold them, all unlocked well into the endgame, did not seem enough incentive for me to complete any of those big sidequests.

So, basically the 'confirmation' is that the information comes from the friend of a Japanese-to-German translator helping Aonuma to give a speech in an English-speaking country. And this guy has all sorts of insider information on the development process and all the internal discussions between the most important people involved... And he's okay with leaking this huge amount of information and getting jettisoned from the company because 'Germans don't care about rumors'...

"I will do a back flip if this is true (I have never done one)"

It's just as well because you'll never have to.

Fake as heck, but A for Effort and A+ for Creativity.

Spoony is probably right. The Twilight Princess reveal was as big as it was because it was completely unexpected and exactly what everyone wanted.

Zelda Wii, on the other hand, is anticipated to the point where there might very well be physical violence if it *doesn't* make some sort of appearance, and moreover, I think it's going to take some time for a lot of people to warm up to the initial announcement of whatever development path it turns out Nintendo is actua...

As big as Zelda is, it's pretty much a guarantee that there's going to be a backlash, as everything we know (which is to say, do not know) about the title is looking like pretty fertile ground for controversy.

Will it have a realistic art direction or will it be stylized in the vein of Wind-Waker? Different segments of the fanbase are in sometimes-vicious disagreement over this; and speaking of graphics, whether stylized or realistic, I think the director has alrea...

On the one hand, this seems far-fetched. On the other, Pachter did finally say that he gave up on expecting this to come...

Realistically speaking, there are few things that we can really expect with high probability: Sales data about the hardware and how the DS and Wii are still killing it, though not in the numbers they used to be, so Nintendo is very committed to replenishing those numbers and maximizing the potential of yadda yadda yadda. Stuff about how Monster Hunter Tri is the series's biggest success in the West and how they're going to continue to support it, et cetera. Oh, and let's not forge...

Some of the textures leave a bit to be desired, but on the other hand, that's some pretty crazy draw distance they're working with.

"For S&P2 at least you only need to the pointer and you don't turn the camera so there's no risk of pointing away from the sensor bar"

Ordinarily, I would point out that that's only peripherally(excuse the pun)-related to the issues some people have with edge-tracking, but that would tread suspiciously-close to speaking ill of S&P2, and I would have to ritualistically disembowl myself in order to erase the shame.

"but when Nintendo is releasing games like SMG2, S&P2, and as of now, Metroid: Other M, all without WM+ support, why should 3rd parties?"

This is a good point. The only solution I can see would be for Nintendo to release Zangeki no Reginleiv in North America.

"Why is Bond holding a golden gun"

Obviously, he completed every mission on 00 agent difficulty, unlocked the secret bonus Egyptian level, and then proceeded to beat it.

"I don't know how well a Wii version would have turned out"

If Castlevania: Judgement is any indication, not well.

This on the heels of Pachter's announcement that he's given up on that prospect. The torch is passed!

I wish I could feel sympathy for Bamco, but all I can think about is how the best game they've released in recent memory is Fragile and how I'm going to have to import Tales of Graces, mod my system against my better judgement, and play the entire game in a language I don't understand because they refuse to localize it.

"It seems to me that SEGA was pleased with the Yakuza 3 sales in the west"

Yes, let's look at that PR quote for a moment.

"the initial sales were really positive"

Do you notice that the key word there is 'initial'? Just like the key word in this next link is 'first'?

"Pretty sure MadWorld didn't pull in the sales Sega wanted."

Sega's used to disappointment. Look at what happened when they tried to bring Yakuza 3 to the West.
