"Re5 is right now the highest rated move game"
That is pretty sad.
"People should get 2nd jobs to buy a 3DS"
Or they could just not buy a 3DS. What is the problem?
"support Nintendo in their price hiking"
In free market economy, excess demand leads to price increases, reducing quantity demanded and reaching economic equilibrium.
"This game looks decent, but nothing like... Metroid Other M"
Thank goodness.
Damn, this has been a pretty good week for game news.
"But FF4 naver came out for the west. What makes u think FF5 will?"
It probably won't, but it's not like that will prevent fans from releasing their own translation.
http://www.joystiq.com/2010...
This will indeed be awesome -- once a fan translation comes out when Nintendo of America inexplicably refuses to localize it, Fatal Frame IV style.
Raddest news to come out of the whole conference.
"if nintendo made this game, this glitch wouldnt of happened, its team ninjas fault."
Er, whose fault was the Twilight Princess cannon room glitch?
"name 3 homebrewers that became published independents"
Sure, right after you name 3 sane reasons why you think it is a good thing that companies would rather sue people than release a better product.
"Or those Homebrewers can get into the game industry like most Indie Dev's do."
Or game companies could just build consoles with all the features and functionality that consumers want in the first place so that we don't have to resort to Homebrew.
"The problem is that they marketed it like an free add-on to elite"
This is silly. Would it make you feel better if they had marketed Elite as a free add-on to Jam? EA more or less admitted that this is what they were doing, and economically, it is exactly the same thing.
Now when you buy Jam, instead of getting a buggy, rushed piece of trash, you get more NBA Jam instead. Oh, the humanity.
"Now they pull a 180 and flip ...
"EA can go f off with this BS"
I don't follow. EA develops a fully-fledged game for the Wii, charge the price they usually charges for full Wii games. They then port it with added online and HD graphics, making it a fully-fledged game for the 360 and the PS3, and they charge the price they usually charge for full PS3 and 360 games. I don't see what the problem is.
I think by this point no one who knows what they're talking about is seriously arguing that there are no worthwhile games on Wiiware; it's that Nintendo doesn't do enough to promote them (or the service as a whole, for that matter). And as a result, separating the wheat from the chaff is far more difficult than it should be.
"Without paying any of these games."
Er, not really. Dolphin's an emulator, but the most user-friendly way (the one preferred by the majority of the community) to implement it requires owning both the original game and a soft-modded Wii.
"For example, at the end of a battle with Mother Brain in Other M, you have to detonate a power bomb in her stomach"
Bitmob, everybody.
Ugh, no.
"wouldn't you love to see Mario, Link and Samus in HD"
http://www.dolphin-emulator...
"Dolphin is a Gamecube and Wii emulator... Games are playable at HD quality, up to 1080p."
I am kind of frightened by how not-terrible this looks.
Really hoping they have a version of Flingsmash without the pack-in. I really have enough controllers at this point and would rather just pick the game up cheaper.
"But, since the gaming press and public overreacted at E3, Nintendo thinks it'll be in high demand and can get away with a high price."
It's not really a matter of 'getting away' with a higher price, it's about avoiding having to eat several years of crippling shortages, which is what happens when something is priced too low.
If on the other hand $300 is above the market clearing price, then they can/will drop that price rig...
