@Urrakia34 and Outlawzz Quantic Dream made Nomad Soul which had combat elements and their new game Is being billed as action adventure. I expect it to be very much like Mass Effect. Mostly exploration and dialog choices with some lite combat mixed in.
I'm glad they helping out this 5% of gamers but true frontier is a bit much. The true frontier is higher quality AI, branching narrative, VR, etc.
Remember that things like mud and vegetation don't work with nanite.
The previews say this game will have much more action than their previous ones. It's not going to be an interactive novel.
I've read that as well. They don't want small experiences they want full games and with the power of the PS5 they can do just that and without pulling their best teams from flat games to serve a smaller market.
Yes. Just like that. Another good example.
Sure if you like latency, artifacting, and always online requirements.
I'll take any Jak and Daxter or Ratchet and Clank. If you want to count VR (and you should) throw Astro in there as well.
If you haven't played Watch Dogs Legion give it a try. Cyberpunk dystopia open world with multiple paths to complete objectives and a variety of playstyles. Also the most impressive simulated world I've ever seen with thousands of unique and playable NPCs with their own perks, backstories, rivalries, friendships, jobs and routines.
Yes. It's very similar to the first game. Far too much for my taste. It's like Shenmue 3. A game out of time.

Different strokes I guess. For me the Psychonauts gameplay is ripped directly out of the PS2 era.
What was the point? That the boss is a jerk? Same at nearly every company.
Almost every story gets approved as long as it's newsworthy. I think a blog post or user review would also count just make it well thought out and written.
The VR dev kits are almost certainly out to many any publishers but Sony wisely doesn't want to show any games for it until they are polished and the hardware is near release especially given they are still focused on getting PS5s into people's hands first.
