Microsoft tends to be at a disadvantage, Because of their history and not really having to do anything to sell products effectively (eg: advertise and compete) Generally they Leverage Windows technologies as well as other IP to gain the upper hand in any industry they enter BUT, without that, they are on an even playing field don't know what to do, That is why they FAILED when it came to their Phone OS, They lost the chance to have a foothold in that industry and Google with Android becam...
""they don't wanna show their hand too early.""
"I kinda feel Sony is more of the opposite"
whatever lets you sleep at night, Man... :P
"^^lol are you an idiot? How does he ruin the industry? By making sony fanboys angry?"
-sixthelement
By buying studios and them killing then off 2 years into a new console generation is how Microsoft kills the industry.
"It would be nice to buy a Japanese studio"
Why? Ms track record is to shutter development studios about 2 years into a new console cycle, so MS buying a studio almost guarantees it's death.
"The gameplay felt uninspired and lacked the proper feel of being within the Star Wars universe."
So...Just Like all Star Wars movies made since Disney took over Lucasfilm?
"Wakanda"? You mean that make believe country that was created by two Jewish men from Brooklyn?
@phoenixwing - "developers may be forced to make turn based rpgs"
Yeah? Like that won't kill the gaming industry, I would rather play with a ball attached to a paddle than play a Boring turn based rpgs borefest.
Until high speed internet becomes ubiquitous in all major regions of the world I really cannot see the benefit of it. After all, how many people have sketchy to barely any internet service in regions that the Playstation markets to? Would it be wise for Sony to abandon large swaths of the world? Personally, I like owning my hardware, If Playstation becomes some garbage "internet service platform" I'll go back to PC gaming.
let me guess, it smells like Pepsi and Doritos?
oops! wrong article.
That's what I get for opening a bunch of tabs at the same time....

Nintendo...the company the "does things differently" by releasing the same pap, with the same characters with nearly the same gameplay every generation.....Nintendo fanboy fantasies.
bravo, that is just great. I tip my hat to your sarcasm.
I find it interesting that they buy these developer houses because they are successful and well loved but , immediately make them change they way they develop games to follow their pathetic model. thus, destroying the main reason why the developer was loved and successful in the first place.
Talking about sabotaging their own success.
so..let me get this straight. If the PS5 did not have backwards compatibility everyone would be mad...but because it has backwards compatibility, now people will get mad because there possibly might hinder remasters? some people will never be happy, no matter what you give them.
xCloud wins...being comparable to an ACTUAL cloud...a fluffy cumulus cloud of vapor.
my Sony TV has native PSnow support and dual shock 3 and 4 support......it IS a Sony TV though...
I agree with you, The Zombie/infected genre is played out, I predicted this almost a month before it's released that its sales would be soft. and I was mocked and told that there wasn't many Zombie/infected games released and this would be a fresh take, all lies...zombie games have been saturating the market for years and a Sony studio making one isn't going to save it. And on top of that the game is buggy and painful to play if you go by the reviews.
Of course, the Chipsets are being developed and sourced from AMD's warehouse 13 development team with co-development by Sony's Yoyodyne labs. I even heard that Professor Emilio Lizardo is heading that team.

I agree, Nintendo are the kings of "putting lipstick on a pig" and that includes hardware AND their games!
