How many time I have to read this angry, knee-jerk reply to the 360's lousy, totally admitted by Microsoft, unreliable track record from 360 fanboys.
(which is a proven fact) they always bring up some story about either themselves or "a friend" having their PS3 fail like 10 times?
and that somehow the PS3 has the same failure rate or worse? (which is false)
@sak500, it sounds like your friend "mandy" might be putting her PS3 on the carpet in front of her TV when she uses it. that is the only reason I can think of that would cause any console to fail at 100%.

talk about pathetic, Lucasarts was top of the line back in the day, then they shoot themselves in the foot. I don't even consider their games when I am browsing looking for something to play. they really need to bring back some classic Star wars FPS and 3rd person games. as well as their adventure games.

This is as stupid as having to add a bunch of blond haired white people to the population of an African village in RE5 to keep from upsetting African-origin groups. for those games, talking about charging your way out of the business.
People that want to play the game and cannot afford it will just get an NZB file for that game and download it. or they just won't play it at all. or get it used.
in the long run, overcharging for a game will hurt sales. Or, if somebody really wants it, they could split the price between 3 other people and each can play the game when the next one is done with it. granted, you won't be able to play on-line...
Just enjoy all the great games coming out from other publishers, don't buy MW2 just yet. wait a few months show Activision by low sales that the higher price was a mistake. then buy your copy of MW2 used. or deeply discounted. I prefer used because you can stick it to Kotick and still enjoy the game.
Or once they start selling the game at a "discount" to boost sales get it then.

I Preordered the 360 a year in advance, I dropped 50.00 a paycheck on my preorder and stood out in the cold at 12:00 at night to pick up my 360... what a mistake! I just have to say thank god I haven't had to pay for any of it's many replacements. I was an original xbox owner and loved that machine, in game surround sound, comfortable controllers etc. an all around great console. what a surprise to me how SHODDY the 360 is. and you are right, it eats at me that I gave Microsoft my hard earned...
to me, getting the best value is getting a console that isn't made of poorly designed, shoddy materials that fail almost every time.
you know why, unlike Sony, Microsoft never planned a 10 year life span for the 360? because there won't be any still functioning by then...

I love how people will put you on their ignore list instead of defending their position. maybe because they don't have a foot to stand on? personally, I would NEVER ignore someone, It just shows weakness and a lack of confidence in your opinion.
It is actually sad that they will never see this comment...maybe it is for the best...they might break a Wii controller or gamepad in frustration. :P
I guess when you don't really have a defense, getting angry and disagreeing is all you can do to justify the purchase of your 360.
Frankly, I'll take blu-ray over fake Hi-Def any day. streaming or downloadable content like movies or full triple A games are a scam and a waste of money. prove me otherwise if you can.
if I remember correctly when Activision merged with Blizzard they made a statement about not pursuing new IP but, rather pumping out sequels to successful games. that is why they dropped all those new IP games after the merger, brutal legend, Wet and a few others I cannot remember. I guess their plan was to keep releasing new GH and rehash sports games every year and milk customers.
Microsoft, on the other hand crams low quality, shoddy hardware down everyone's throats. whereas Sony took the time to get the hardware right before release, Microsoft told IBM that if there were any flaws in the processor that they would fix them in software, in other words a hack to workaround show stopper flaws in the processor. just so they could release early. The 360 is proof that Ms is not a hardware company.
SO it is true that Sony is just another soulless company but, ...
originality is not one of Microsoft's strong points.

I own both and know from experience what both machines can do. well, to be honest I have owned multiple 360's (replacements) and only one PS3.
And I guess you would know seeing that you own both.
if you don't own a Wii yet, don't bother unless you get it as a gift.
