Sony will not have the ps3 by itself for 10 yrs against 2 ms consoles, the ps4 will probably release 5-6 yrs after the ps3 came out. Considering that is still 3-4 yrs from now, worrying about(for ps2/3 owners) it is a waste of time.

@Product i think you misinterepted what i said, i agreed that we will more than likely have a new top resolution for tvs and even a type oled/sed tv ect.
But that any change in the max resolution is pointless do to most all the content being viewed, will be 1080p or less, till you get content running at 1440p ect a tv that goes up that high is a only good for bragging rights.

Okay imagine playing a full new zelda game only with 8 bit graphics, or a new metriod prime game using graphical assets from super metroid.
Game devs aren't that stupid, nor are even nintendo gamers that forgiving, a game released today looking like that would be torn to shreds.
If graphics were never important we would still be playing on 8 bit systems, with little to no detail on weapons, levels enemies ect.
About a new resolution appearing in 2011, thats possible but kinda useless most all cable/tv (non gaming) content will still be running the max of 1080p.
Although more likely a mixture of 720p and 1080i, and even if they do people that have bought 720p or 1080p tv will not be buying a new one for many years. Unless it is a hell of a bump i don't see gamers upgrade much either.

Okay unless your talking about a multiplayer mode/non story mode, i have to disagree, some games are 1 player for a reason.
God of war, dmc, ninja gaiden, most all traditional rpgs, splitscreen is okay for shooters and some hack and slash. But having 2 kratos's on screen or dante ect, kinda kills any story or atmosphere to the games.

90-95% of my games involve some form of killing, this game will be mine shortly after release, no killing isn't an issue.
The creative levels that people make will be the main draw of this game, hopefully sony will have a regular zone(non-offensive)/levels and a unrestricted zone/levels.

The terabyte disc sounds reasonable, what will the drive and the discs cost i am curious.
But don't they already have a 600-800+ gig disc coming out that is very closely to the same tech blu ray uses. And they only need a different lens to read it and the cost is supposed to be about the same as a blu ray drive is.
