I have played both, and both the sp and mp on killzone are better in my opinion, cod4 isn't a slouch by any measure, but a hundred times get real.
But cod4 is a twitch shooter, whereas killzone 2, is more a tactical shooter. Unlike cod running, spraying and praying will get you killed quickly in k2, also sorry no wielding a .50 cal sniper rifle like a pistol....
If the 360 is crushing the ps3, it is taking it's sweet damn time doing it, at half the price point it should be slaughtering the ps3, but it isn't even close.
Good luck to the 360 crushing the ps3(it will be a beast similar to the ps2), the 360 will need it. I still have plenty of good games to play on my ps3 and more on the way, but maybe 2010 will have a better lineup for the 360.

No it probably wouldn't be cheaper, while i am not an expert, i would guess that the current design for the 360 would have to trashed and redesigned from the ground up.
Using the same cpu/gpu(the smallest cores possible), memory and any other advancement the current ones have.
They would have to start a new production run, the price of that alone would probably be scary.
And even halo can be milked to death, if ms relies on only halo and maybe 1 other game to heavily, they are likely to burn that game's fanbase out. Infamous tries to be like neither nor is uncharted.
Its the unreal 3 engine, unreal 3 is nothing, and please provide a link showing ms helping 2k boston(i believe) with bioshock, if anything it may have been the architecture of the 360 not the unreal 3 engine, that would be epic's department not ms.

They could but it is very doubtful, the later the generation gets the less likely devs will kill a hd release of a game, especially if it is the type that sells on the ps3 and 360.
Considering nintendo killed the release of fatal frame 4 to both the us and europe(unless this has changed recently ).
The better question is why are they limiting release of certain games and not using some of their other ips more aggressively.

No ps2 = not a hardcore gamer, out of your list, there are 4 games i would consider even remotely hardcore mp, godfather and nmh, dbz game are you sure your actually a hardcore gamer.
Ps3/360 hardcore gamers love fps and westernized games, yet everyone on my friends list i talk to regularly, loved okami. A buddy of mine raves about valkyrie chronicles.

Okay look at how many rpgs/jrpgs have been released for the hd consoles, not that damn many. The ps2 rpgs are better than any on the hd consoles.
The ps2 has been out almost 9 yrs, this generation consoles 3-4 so yeah, yah think.
It's a bit stupid to try and compare the 2 generations when the main rpgs haven't even been released yet and not all the rpg makers have switched to the next gen yet.

Do you even own a system, yes pc's can run fps games/almost any game better than a console duh, but with a console you put the game in and plays it simple.
You don't have to worry about your hard drive crashing, the os becoming corrupted and having to reinstall windows. linux ect, getting a virus.
And you don't run into, your cpu/gpu or memory doesn't meet the minimum specifications and time for a whole new cpu/mb, memory, video card/...
@14.1 considering the ps2 is still selling, you might want to reconsider that statement.
