Grinding is a turn off for me as well. I get it but you need a balance, don't just make it a super grindy game for the sake of grinding so people will buy stuff with real money more often. I don't like the idea of that. If I put around 60 bucks into a game that is f2p I should be able to get a lot out of that.
I thought it was just the color of the focus and that is it.
The SP was very lacking but the MP was really fun, you need to understand what each class did and make sure you used it the right way. If you didn't you will get spawn camped which happened often but that was because people would camp and not PTFO. One of the most important classes was the class that can deploy a respawn for your teammates. If your team didn't do that than you probably would be getting spawn camped. Killzone 2 is the pinnacle of the series easily.
That is the problem with gaming, people will just take their opinion and say something that solely benefits them while thinking of no one else. What about the million people who do like Killzone? I get it, you don't like it which is fine but wishing a developer stop making a game that loved by many is just ignorant. Killzone definitely needed a break and I happy they are even if Horizon did poorly. Shadowfall had a great MP but the SP was the first Killzone to lack in the SP part. It was ...
They kind of had to pump out patches for the game since it was broken from the start. It is such a fantastic games but got boggled down by how broken it was when it came out.
@ChronoJoe
You can't say they are underappreciated, then compare them to one of the most prominent studio in the industry. If Insomniac told you they are coming out with a new game, no matter what you are going to be excited to see what it is because of just their name. The games you mentioned that under-performed weren't directly because of the game. I know sales is a huge part of what makes it good but that isn't the only reason. I heard Sunset Overdrive was g...

I just don't get Sony. We have Esports that is starting to rise again and we have consoles that can bring streaming/tournaments to these games. If I want to play a 3rd person tactical shooter on a console I couldn't. If they just remake Socom 2 and you have a shooter ready for Esport and tons of people will be competing. It won't get COD or BF numbers but if you focus Socom 2 remake on Esport ready you will have people buying it just to get into the sc...
I am halfway through Tomb Raider and I must say it is a fun game and it is definitely darker but that is what the Last Of Us is for. Almost everything in Tomb Raider is outdone by Uncharted and where Uncharted shines is the writing. You do have a darker tone in Tomb Raider so there are no jokes no sarcasm, no comebacks, and I only care about one person in Tomb Raider and that is Lara. The shooting mechanics are awful in Tomb Raider compared to Uncharted, that alone is a huge difference in my ...
@trumpwonstopcrying
That is the point, there is no difficulty in Demon/Dark Souls games. It is one game and if it is too hard for someone, they can't go into settings and change it, they can either quit or keep playing. That is why it gets talked so much, it is one difficulty (Unless you join a certain covenant in some games). Everybody who played those games as played the same game and can talk about it together. For an example, Horizon Zero Dawn, you have 3 different ...
I want to see more combat in this game. As much as I seen in this game you have a sword and a gun that is like a blunderbuss type, I don't know if you can upgrade any of them but the combat was lacking. The enemies that I saw just were Skeletons that took one hit from the gun. The game maybe more of a exploring game which is fine but as of now the combat seems to be lacking especially when it comes to PvP. I remember seeing a video and you see them missing each constantly and it looked li...
You need to add Socom 2 to that list and when any time Sony does a poll of this Socom 2 sits at the top of the list.
They did do new things with the game with the Mark and Execute which in my opinion, as NO REASON to be in a Splinter Cell game. They made two Splinter Cell games that went away from the original style of the game and by no means were they bad games but they weren't great Splinter Cell games. They already did what you said and they never progressed so now fans want the original concept back into these games but with new ideas/mechanics.
That isn't the point, we all know what red is. This is like saying I hate the color red but only seeing orange and violet in front of you. You can get a idea but in reality you won't until you mix it very well. We seen so little of this game so far but the media thinks they saw all of it (positive or negative). This game seemed to be very story oriented but yet we have nothing on the story. The only thing I dislike is the detective mode that lets you see traps and etc. I don't lik...
The whole article is pretty much saying how he prefers controller over a keyboard and mouse. He talks about it 3 different times in the article. We get it, there is a reason why consoles are still selling... because people want to play with a controller/certain games. You don't need to apologize to the "master race" we are ALL in it together we all love video games.
Being on a computer all day at work (as I speak) I just don't want to be sitting in front of a CPU typing on a keyboard.
So you read 90% of the article lol
I do agree with you to an extent but you are using other developers as the reason and we know ND are not just another developer they are ND. What if you get that great SP story that you from ND but they did it in an open world? Or is it just like the linear game play and that is the main reason. I tend to turn off GTA V because at times I don't want to travel all the way cross the map for the mission. In linear games you can stop at a checkpoint.
Very true, the only thing I can say is that 2018 is looking to be HUGE for Sony, God of War The Last Of Us 2 and Spider-Man that is just ridiculous and that is just 3 of the many games.
You also forgot Resistance which I loved and also the poorly reviewed game Fuse.
@Fenome
That is what I believe. I got that info from this post on reddit
