It's kind of a double-edged sword. It's good if you use it to mask your attacks and surprise your opponent. It's bad if you're on the receiving end of that, or if you get lost in the smoke.
What I was getting at is that this is pretty much ancient news by now and has been repeated about a hundred times.
Oh, and no offense, but I don't need to be told how "popular" Guitar Hero is.... I own them all....
Apparently, no one picked up on my sarcasm....
I haven't bothered to download the Japanese demo, but I'll check it out when it hits the US store. The game looks promising. It has a very refreshing art style and the combat looks pretty fierce. Hopefully it has a story to match its appearance. Until I hear and see a little more, though, I'm not pre-ordering it just yet.

Big box came into work today. I was pretty surprised when I saw two 80GB PS3's inside -- I thought they weren't supposed to be out until the 12th. The 60GB's still the best deal, especially if you own a slew of PSone and PS2 games, like me.
This isn't news to me....
Oh course it's the "best multiplayer game on the Wii," it's the only current game besides Pokemon that you can play online! I remember how addicting the first Super Mario Strikers was -- this one pretty much multiplies everything by two. It's still a shame that there's no sorta voice chat or in-game message system, but let's face it, despite what Nintendo has said, the Wii just wasn't made to compete with setups like Xbox Live or PSN. Now, Mario Kart for the Wii is certainly gonna s...
I work at a Game Crazy, and we haven't been informed of a date change. It was originally scheduled for the 14th, and assumably still is. Maybe this is one of the demos that just shows up after the games releases, similar to the recent The Darkness demo on the PSN.
No one's listening to you, Agriel. The verdict's in: it's clearly photoshop.
I think I'll go pre-order Heavenly Sword for the Nintendo Wii right now. Ooo, and Guitar Hero III for the Super Nintendo! And while I'm out, I might just sail to the moon....
Well played.
I'm still chuckling over that one.
Final Fantasy I - VI, remade for GBA.
Final Fantasy I & II, remade for PSP.
Final Fantasy III & IV, remade for Nintendo DS (the latter coming soon).
I think there's a darn good chance we'll see a Final Fantasy VII remake, but it's gonna be a while; Square Enix has a lot on their plate at the moment.
"This one will only be sold in a limited edition package, one that includes Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, a teeny Keyblade strap and the PSP itself..."
Actually, I've seen this "strap" that they speak of, and it has a small metal buster sword hanging from it, not a "Keyblade" (something Square Enix fans should know is quite different). At least, it was a buster sword last I checked. Just wanted to clear that up.
The price was as I expected. I'm not complaining, though. I plan on buying the full set. The most intriguing piece of info is the release date. It sounds about right, but is it anything more than pure speculation? I'm doubtful. Oh, and any reason it's being called a "special edition?" Might this just be because it comes with the full set of peripherals?
No, not really. If it hurts Sony, then I think it hurts Microsoft just as much. There's plenty of titles to still look forward to on both consoles.
So... who knows? I don't think gamers will be let down by the multiplayer experience, and the single player will most likely be more popular due to the recently announced 4-player co-op, but there's always the chance that die-hard fans still won't agree with the story. We'll just have to wait and see, won't we?
Like my comment title says, been there, done that. It's mediocre for an arcade shooter. The best thing about it was the actual gun you use in the arcade version; it's big, heavy, green, and actually has a "change firing mode" switch, to toggle between full-auto, burst, and single shot. Also, there's portions in the game where your aiming reticle actually becomes a knife and you have to block other knife attacks by aiming directly at the incoming slash, which was pretty cool. Overall...
You make a valid point. Aren't gamers just gamers? Who cares if you're straight, black, female, or undead, if you came to game, that's all that matters.
All I needed to see was some screenshots of wyverns and great swords and I was all over Monster Hunter for the PS2 on day one! I absolutely LOVED the game and logged about 314 hours into it. Unfortunately, I had a little accident while trying to transfer my data to my PS3 and poof, all my work is now gone. Monster Hunter is much bigger in Japan than it is here, but if Capcom would just put online play into their Monster Hunter titles for the PSP (which are great as well), I'd go right out and...
